  Sorry guys, we're having some issues with the server on which MJ Coin would (re-)launch which cannot be fixed until tonight, there are several other pools @ start for this coin, please choose one of these from the OP @ Bitcointalk.

Hope to see you at the next launch !

To unlock minting of the wallet.
Go to debug window and write the following.
walletpassphrase "your wallet password" 9999999 true

And then clear the screen with Ctrl+L

Now the wallet is unlocked for minting but you have to write password if you want to send coins.

So the dev lied to us about premine?  Angry
Either he lied or his math skills aren't so good, because he made several mistakes in his calculations.

Here's the code (the first line is in main.h and the remaining code is in main.cpp):

Code:
static const int64_t COIN_YEAR_REWARD = 5 * CENT; // 5% per year

int64_t GetProofOfWorkReward(int64_t nFees)
{
    if (pindexBest->nHeight == 1)
      {
        int64_t nSubsidy = 13125000 * COIN;
        if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
        printf("GetProofOfWorkReward() : create=%s nSubsidy=%"PRId64"\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nSubsidy);
        return nSubsidy + nFees;
      }
    else
    {
        int64_t nSubsidy = 3720 * COIN;
        if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
        printf("GetProofOfWorkReward() : create=%s nSubsidy=%"PRId64"\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nSubsidy);
        return nSubsidy + nFees;
    }
}

// miner's coin stake reward based on coin age spent (coin-days)
int64_t GetProofOfStakeReward(int64_t nCoinAge, int64_t nFees)
{
    int64_t nSubsidy = nCoinAge * COIN_YEAR_REWARD * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8);

    if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
        printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRId64"\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge);

    return nSubsidy + nFees;
}

Earlier, I assumed that the developers 75 million value was correct, but it isn't.

After POW there will be:

block 1: has 13,125,000 coins (you can see that in the above code)

The developer says that there are 20160 POW blocks. Assuming that is true:
blocks 2...20,160 have 20,159 blocks
Each block would have 3720 coins

Total coins in blocks 2...20160 are:
20,159 x 3720 coins = 74,991,480 coins

Add in block 1 to get the total POW blocks:
74,991,480 coins + 13,125,000 coins = 88,116,480 coins
So the developers 75 million figure is wrong; it doesn't include the premine.

Premine as a percentage of POW coins would be:
13,125,000÷88,116,480×100 = 14.895%

After 40 years, total POW+POS coins would be (assuming weeky compounding):
88,116,480x(1+5÷100÷52)^(40×52) = 650,472,260 coins

After 40 years, premine as a percentage of POW+POS coins would be:
13,125,000/650,472,260×100 = 2.018%

You have to hold your coins for 8 hours before they start staking.  I didn't start right from the beginning, screw up on my part, but my first payout should start staking in about 2 hours.  You can look in your wallet where it says Transactions and see when you have had your first payout of coins.  It has the time there.  Then just add 8 hours to that.

Im so disappointed  Sad
Yeh, maybe he didn't include the premine in the POW number because then it would be obvious how large it is. You can see it in the code also but most can't read that.

Dev can you come and explain about your premine.  Can you give us SOME kind of good news???  Exchanges etc???  Are you going to pump and dump your premine, killing this coin??  You have only said one thing about the faucet since we started mining even though MANY valid points and questions have been brought up.  I hate to do this in here because it makes you and this coin look like crap.  I have been mining for a long time and this just does not happen with a dev who actually gives a crap about anything except when he will be able to dump his premine and then be gone.
So much for me getting in to the first giveaway...lol...if there even will be one.  Oh well, such is life when you take someones word and think it should mean more than a way to take advantage of others.

Thanks
