I used electrum  to send 0.7btc with 0.001tx fee to 18eMSCd46uZRv6oJEMmtP8s7XxWuHQjLEG, on 16/02/12 the middle transaction is the relevant one (though the others are also 12hrs+ pending - the top one 08/02/12)

pending   0279a7f63da25e580e2a4f2d0f03a39f4d411685042fedda5bf9402c51213d1e     -0.01

yesterday blockchain.info/seach/18eMSCd46uZRv6oJEMmtP8s7XxWuHQjLEG had the middle tx listed as 0.7 with unconfirmed transaction, now it has no tx found on the network.

my bitcoin client that is supposed to be receiving the transactions still shows pending for the first two transactions, again blockchain.info doesn't  have it on the network. How can my client have been notified of the transactions, and blockchain not show them.

What is going on?

Blockchain.info removes transactions which have been unconfirmed for more than 12 hours - so that is why it appeared and disappeared.

But if the node accepted it then it means it was signed and broadcast correctly, so the issue is probable with fees. I would suggestion trying it again with a 0.005 BTC transaction fee (which is the minimum). It is possible that Eligius may still mine it as they accept transactions with lower fees.

so they should appear in blockexplorer when it comes back?

unfortunately not enough coins left for the tx. Fortunately this was a consolidation tx to one of my other wallets, so not a real hurry, just as long as it happens.

fees are respectively
0.0001
0.0005
0.0001 <- this last of 0.0001 I think was a fee on a 0.009 transaction. I was consolidating coins to one address.

No, block explorer never shows unconfirmed transactions.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell if it will ever happen, but if your not in a rush I would leave it 48 hours and if not try again.

surely there's a miner out there who will configure to sweep up all the small tx fees at least once a week/month - or is it not worth it due to the resulting size?

how can I try again? I can't reclaim the coins to send again can I?

These all went through at around midday yesterday, so presumably a miner decided to give everyone a leap year present?
