That's strange, the link works fine for me (http://britcoin.io/BritCoin_Roadmap_WhitePaper-July2014.pdf) on the OP.

I'm planning on updating the website (design and copy) in the next day or two, so I will include the link on the new website. Smiley

Will update the competition info with a reminder to add #BritCoin, thanks! Smiley

Great idea on comp...

Just FYI the whitepaper link doesn't work any more on OP here. Also could we get white paper link added to website.

Also can I suggest when tweeting we use hash tag #britcoin and not #brit as this is not unique.

Maybe if we can put the hash tag on OP so folks know what to look for on twitter other than just the britcoin twitter handle.

cheers.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

BritPay?

Tor Integration?

Android Wallet?

Saw these being talked about on the IRC, but not in the whitepaper.  Guess they are waiting for the next release.

I don't think there was enough time to add all of those and get it out in time.

Noob to this coin - could anyome summarise what's special about it? have the devs lived up to their promises?

Any hidden problems -
premines?
instamines?
buggy code?
dev squabbles?
dev complacency?
missed deadlines?

Anything to worry about?

Any hidden problems - No.
Premines? - There's a 1% premine which is held here.  This will be used on future bounties, a list of which we're working on and publishing as part of our road-map white paper early next week.
Instamines? - There was quite a bit of instamine, see the first page.  But it was not done by the BritCoin staff..  No more than anyone else who got in early anyway.  I didn't personally start mining until around 4 hours after launch as I was busy monitoring the network etc
Buggy code? - No.
Dev squabbles? - No.
Dev complacency? - No.
Missed deadlines? - No.
Anything to worry about? - Sharks.

Hope this helps put your mind at ease. Smiley

I totally agree, seems a good coin and the dev is very good. There are simply too many people dumping the coins, and with the way it fluctuates its a day traders dream come true but this keeps the price down and lets it drop more

Give it time.  Most things are getting dumped right now.  There's a limited amount of bitcoins around and people end up selling one coin to buy another.  Once a multipool is in place that should create a stable price floor.

Don't forget to join IRC everyone.
IRC Bot commands
!diff - gets network difficulty for proof of stake.
!price - gets last trade price, highest bid price, and lowest sell price from bittrex and allcoin.
!value amount - gets worth of amount of brit coins entered
!motto - says britcoins motto
!info - gives link for britcoins announcement topic, homepage, email, and twitter.
!uwotm8 - says "wtf did u say m8?  will7am is the hardest lad in UK and has won over 9000 fist fights"

This coin is at a great place right now. Placed a 30k sell order last night on Allcoins @ 890sat that got filled last night. Turned around and bought 60k more on the latest dip.

On Allcoins theres about 1.25btc to buy up to 1k value, vs 45btc to get up to 1k on Bittrex.

Mintpal is the new Cryptsy, Bittrex is the new Mintpal and Allcoins is the new Bittrex lol

We will have a lot more people buying Brit soon enough. No sell walls will stop us. Get ready.

Managed to buy some more cheap #BRIT.  Unfortunately rich list is broken again so I can't check if I've made any progress.
