Dear Intersango Users,

You may have noticed some delays during the past two weeks if you use Intersango in the UK. This is because Lloyds had internal restructuring recently and removed BACS payments as a payment method. In doing so their system caused us considerable complications. This added work meant the Intersango team had to sacrifice an excessive amount of time to process transactions each day.

We are happy to say that we have moved to a bank with a better online interface and will be working to automate the process as much as possible. By this time tomorrow we will at least be processing transactions at the previous rate. We have not closed the Lloyds account yet so do not worry if you have sent a payment to Lloyds.

We are really happy about these developments as they will both free up hours of our time a day and allow you to enjoy intersango much more. We will put those new found hours towards further developing the site. We are already in the final stages of completing a loyalty program which we should announce in the next week or two.

Our new UK bank requires a 20 pence deposit transfer fee which will be charged to new deposits and withdraws. However, we will be maintaining free deposits and withdraws for amounts equal to and in the excess of 100GBP.

Remember, feel free to contact us at support@intersango.com with any questions or suggestions you may have. We are happy to answer literally anything!

Metro Bank. They refer to their branches as "stores".

I guess this answers the "what bank wants to deal with difficult, small clients" question.

Presumably intersango are Metro Bank's biggest client  Grin

Does the 20p apply if the transfer is to / from a Metro Bank account? A whole load of new accounts might make them love intersango!
