Now you're down to 0.1 and 0.2 mBTC for the first 2 prizes (and the other 2 do not count because the 3rd is currently 0 and the 0.1 BTC jackpot seems to be a joke and for internal payouts only [can't prove but also can't prove otherwise and simply make sense here]). So that tells me you can't get a higher cpm rate for all the ads together than ~0.15 BTC (that's less than $2)? That is very low but may be the case while using bitcoin advertising networks and affiliate links. It's not easier to monetize the site as long as your prizes go down and down because less and less people will use the site. You may should try the big ppv networks (even if they pay in FIAT only) and you have to think more in a long term than right now. Of course you need more available coins but you would be able to provide higher prizes for your visitors. Just a thought.

Next development steps to go (I'm working on the designs):
1. A decentralized cryptoexchange protocol
2. A cryptocoin with a fix USD/Coin rate

How hard is it to win each tier (0.0001 to jackpot)?

In my experience:

First is virtually every page load.
Second can usually be gotten within a few to several minutes of repeated page reloads.
Third usually seems to happen roughly once for every 4–10 second-tier prizes gotten on average.
Jackpot—absolutely never. Wink

Will you be taking on the old kind of small button advertisements again, or have you changed your ad model?

Cheers!

Someone made a captcha detection script and is using a botnet to spam CoinAd.

Every time I make a change in the captcha (font color, size, length, etc...) the bot stops and returns a few hours later. Maybe it's because the mofo needs to change the image detection script.

That really sucks. Can you track his IP or is it dynamic?

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

A botnet is usually acting from a lot of different places around the world.

You'll not be able to provide better prizes with reCAPTCHA too because as soon as the prize is higher than someone have to pay through a decaptcha service (and/or is willing to solve the captchas himself for a specific prize) the bot will scrap your page again. There is not really a solution with a 100% success rate to protect it against abuse as far as I know. You can make it harder for the bots. P.e. JS calculations will protect your site from none-JS scripts but you need to be aware of the fact that a bot is able to render everything a browser can render. So as long as it worth the effort (means your prize is high enough) someone will abuse your site. I'm just a little bit confused why it is a problem now and was not one before creating the new coinad..?

Btw: Your new referral system is not a good idea to protect your site from abuse just because you can't make sure a referred user isn't a bot too this way who generate clicks on autopilot (around the actual click rate of course to make sure it's harder for you and for the advertising network to detect the abuse). Advertising methods like PPV and PPC are never secure from abuse. Not even Google is able to provide a perfect solution with their AdWords/AdSense stuff.

I'm very aware of such methods. I'm a web hacker and so also need to crack sometimes for testcases to make sure the creation is protected against any kind of attacks/abuse. I can provide you good solutions as long as you are willing to pay 5 BTC per hour.

Now, only registered users can get one prize per hour.
I'll be adding a lot more benefits for registered users in the future.

Please report bugs/errors/doubts here: https://coinad.com/?m=contact

At .0005BTC per hour you might supplant dailybitcoins as the best faucet!  Thank you.  However, I get a maintenance error when I go to register an account.  I'll try with just my deposit address as I have been doing.  Thanks for your site and for trying to get us new users some coins!

Edit: I just tried it with my deposit address and says I need to come back in one hour and 21 minutes! Shocked)  I had already waited an hour.

Same here. It is completely broken. Sad It says come back in an hour and some minutes. I come back, and then it says come back in an hour thirty-something minutes. I came back and it's some other random time. Rinse, repeat.

Also, I can't create an account. It just says, “Maintenance, please come back later.”

Thanks, looks good.  Cool Couple of suggestions in case you haven't already thought of them: show in the top bar somewhere (upper-right corner seems the best place) whether I'm currently logged in, and remember the last payment address used and automatically fill it in for convenience.

You can use Skude.se/BTC for that. It works with CoinAd and other sites.

I do in fact use skude, though the referral link seems to be interfering with CoinAd logins or something at the moment (I have to reload before it recognizes me as logged in, and I think this is when the address gets lost—I have autocomplete, I just forget to fill it in sometimes.). But then again, my copy of Firefox acts pretty messed up a lot of the time in general, anyway. Smiley
