I saw a couple year old posts about some folks mining on a GT 230M ~

When I tried sgminer and cgminer, I get this~
Code:
 [2014-06-28 01:00:13] Started cgminer 3.1.0
 [2014-06-28 01:00:15] :678: error: no matching overload found for arguments of
type 'unsigned int  __attribute__((ext_vector_type(4))), unsigned int'
                B[i] = EndianSwap(tmp[i]);
                       ^~~~~~~~~~
:687: error: no matching overload found for arguments of type 'unsigned int  __a
ttribute__((ext_vector_type(4))), unsigned int'
                B[i+4] = EndianSwap(tmp[i]);
                         ^~~~~~~~~~
:700: error: no matching overload found for arguments of type 'unsigned in [2014
-06-28 01:00:15] Failed to init GPU thread 0, disabling device 0
 [2014-06-28 01:00:15] Restarting the GPU from the menu will not fix this.
 [2014-06-28 01:00:15] Try restarting cgminer.
Press enter to continue:
When I press enter "cgminer/sgminer.exe has stopped working"
CUDAminer just gives:

Code:
[2014-06-28 01:01:12] Unable to query CUDA driver version! Is an nVidia driver installed?

It's from Sony, and I've gotten the most recent drivers, + the ones reccomended by Nvidia, so that I could play Battlefield 3

I'm not interested in the profitability side, I have free electricity and I'm just curious for now Smiley

Thanks in advance

Just a word of warning you mine on a laptop you won't be playing battlefield on it after
Laptops arnt designed to run at 100% for long and your mining speed will be like droping  a bottle in the sea

All in all your results will be F**ked laptop. and no coins

But if you insist then use
Guiminer for sha256 coins
Guiminer scrypt alpha for scrypt coins

Both are easy to find on goigle and both cime back to this site where the dowload links are

If you mined non-stop for 1 month with free electricity you would earn 0.43 cents with the most profitable coin - that's less than 1/2 a cent.  More likely is your laptop will die from fan failure or damaged mainboard somewhere around 3 weeks.

For the sake of a decently working laptop, don't do it.
