In anything that is preordered there is risk. I personally never preorder anything.

October/November delivery time? Why so long?
The process should not take more than 6 weeks from start to finish.
The mint quoted me 1-2 week detail time to make sure the design fits and looks good then 10-12 weeks from time of payment to time of shipping, not to mention I have to wait another 26 days for the startjoin campaign to end and for funds to be released. So end of June + 26 days = end of July + 12-14 weeks = end of October beginning of November. Any further questions I can help you with?
You may want to shop around. I've experienced multiple shipments of coins that were designed, minted, and shipped in 6 weeks time.
Just a thought if you don't want to wait 3 months+ for your product based on their time frame quotes.
