Community take over: Why?

The original dev of ECCoin lost his clear vision and is ignoring every question asked by community members.
He is also rejecting any form of cooperation in order to implement new features.

In a public voting, here on the bitcoin forum, the community voted for a take over.

Community take over: What's next?

Ok, we voted for a take over and are left without a dev, so what's next?
First of all, let me be very clear about this: The community will decide what we do and what not.
This time we do it right...no more individual decision making, but group-decision making!

1. Community wallets for development-bounties and give-aways

I Have set up 3 different wallets, one ECC-wallet, one BTC-wallet and one LTC-wallet.

ECC-wallet:      EZxj2oLwnXF12fhcNpZV5hRRVBXjtxpa2f            --> Balance:10.000.000 ECC
BTC-wallet:      1LxTKMQKEcokUeZS8wDcdWBCbxXZ321kGN       --> Balance:0.12025802 BTC
LTC-wallet:      LZ4frp8EVVWNMTxBMZSp5B2qo1Qx4NQMHe       --> Balance:0 LTC

The wallet addresses are public, so everyone can check the transactions and the balances!

2. Bounties for development and give-aways

Everyone that makes a donation to one of the 3 community wallets can decide where he wants his donation to be used for.
For example, I started by making a 50.000.000 ECC donation (the first transaction of many I hope!).
Now it's up to me to decide where I want this money to be used for.
I donate 40.000.000 to the dev bounty, 5.000.000 to the payment processor bounty and 5.000.000 to the new website bounty.

This way the community decides what's important for them and what not.
The higher the amount for bounty, the more likely that someone will accept the task.
Also, if you want a new bounty to be added, that's possible as well.
Just mention what bounty you want to be added and the amount that you are donating to this bounty.

3. Current bounties

A. Development bounty

This bounty will be used to pay the new dev. It's up to the community to decide how the dev will payed.
--> The whole amount in advance? A part per task? A fixed amount per month? ...

Current balance

 Balance:0 ECC
 Balance:0.12025802 BTC
 Balance:0 LTC

B. Payment processor bounty

This bounty will be used to develop a payment processor, to pay someone who can build us a payment processor.
No need to tell you the importande of a payment processor in order to get ECC to online stores.

Current balance

 Balance:5.000.000 ECC
 Balance:0 BTC
 Balance:0 LTC

C. New website

We also need a new website, and someone that can take care of this website (regular updates, maintenance,...)

Current balance

 Balance:5.000.000 ECC
 Balance:0 BTC
 Balance:0 LTC

D. Chinese translation

This bounty will be used for a Chinese translation of this post.

Current balance

 Balance:0 ECC
 Balance:0 BTC
 Balance:0 LTC

E. Block explorer + rich list

This bounty will be used for a working block explorer + rich list.

Current balance

 Balance:0 ECC
 Balance:0 BTC
 Balance:0 LTC

4. Let's get started!!!

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret to getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks and then starting on the first one.” ~ Mark Twain

Russians, LOL. Just kidding =). IIRC he said that he want to gain marketing/promotion experience, so I am not surprised. I wish you, guys good luck. I supported this coin from the start. I didn't make much, I just like how ECC moved.

What does the new dev need to do?

The new dev needs to take over development from the current dev.
First We need a fix for the syncing problems.

Further development is based on community requests.

Happy to see, happy to help.  If we can get a solid dev I'll definitely put in LTC and ECC to the bounty.  We don't have to let this die.

Very important update!!! Please read carefully!!!
Very important update!!! Please read carefully!!!
Very important update!!! Please read carefully!!!

Hi guys

Here I am, with some really good but also some really bad news!
Let me start with the good news...
I, found someone who is willing to help us solving the sync issues some users have reported.
The one I'm talking about is Mindfox, an experienced freelance dev.

The bad news is...our problems are a lot bigger then we could have expected... Sad Sad Sad
The blockchain forked, multiple times... Undecided Undecided Undecided
Here is a part of the conversation I had on IRC...

[12:35] <mindfox_afw> looks like there are a lot of orphaned blocks in the chain
[12:35] <Goldmaxx> Dunno what's wrong, but several ppl are reporting issues with the syncing
[12:36] <Goldmaxx> You think you can help us out?
[12:36] <mindfox_afw> I know what the problem is regarding syncing
[12:36] <Goldmaxx> and can you fix it?
[12:36] <mindfox_afw> from what it seems, you have multiple forks in the chain
[12:36] <mindfox_afw> maybe more than 2
[12:36] <Goldmaxx> owwww
[12:37] <Goldmaxx> no good...
[12:37] <mindfox_afw> that's why you have people reporting transactions going back to 0/unconfirmed
[12:37] <Goldmaxx> when did the first fork take place?
[12:37] <mindfox_afw> I have no way of really knowing
[12:38] <mindfox_afw> you see, the ones I'm syncing from now, knows only one fork as the correct one
[12:38] <Goldmaxx> ok
[12:38] <mindfox_afw> but there are other wallets that think there's another fork that is the correct one
[12:38] <Goldmaxx> damn
[12:38] <mindfox_afw> possibly a group of others, think there's another best fork
[12:38] <mindfox_afw> and so on a and so forth
[12:38] <Goldmaxx> can this be fixed?
[12:38] <mindfox_afw> yes, but it's not going to be easy
[12:39] <Goldmaxx> and what will the concequenses be?
[12:39] <mindfox_afw> we need to issue an update
[12:39] <mindfox_afw> well...
[12:39] <mindfox_afw> first of all, you have to check the exchanges
[12:39] <mindfox_afw> in what exchanges is the wallet currently?
[12:40] <Goldmaxx> Many, Mintpal, Poloniex, ...
[12:40] <Goldmaxx> like up to 8 exchanges
[12:40] <mindfox_afw> ouch
[12:40] <Goldmaxx> indeed
[12:40] <mindfox_afw> and you have no working explorer, huh?
[12:40] <Goldmaxx> ouch
[12:40] <Goldmaxx> nope
[12:41] <mindfox_afw> and no block signing....
[12:41] <Goldmaxx> doesn't look good I guess?
[12:41] <mindfox_afw> well, here's the think
[12:41] <mindfox_afw> *thing
[12:41] <mindfox_afw> when we decide to go with one fork (which of course is what we must do)
[12:41] <mindfox_afw> we will make all the other forks invalid
[12:41] <Goldmaxx> yes
[12:41] <mindfox_afw> that means that whatever transactions were made, will be invalidated also
[12:42] <mindfox_afw> do you understand what that means for the exchanges?
[12:42] <Goldmaxx> oh dear...and god knows how long ago the first fork took place
[12:42] <mindfox_afw> yes, exactly
[12:42] <Goldmaxx> so, what do we do first?
[12:45] <mindfox_afw> first, we negotiate my price Smiley

Mindfox is willing to help us out for a very reasonable price...

[12:45] <mindfox_afw> let me ask: do you have servers that can act as full time nodes for the coin?
[12:46] <mindfox_afw> and do you have any secure (really really secure) server?
[12:46] <mindfox_afw> or should I include those also in my price?
[12:46] <Goldmaxx> I think you should include that as well... :-s
[12:46] <mindfox_afw> ok
[12:47] <mindfox_afw> to be on the safe side, we will need 4 nodes + 1 for signing
[12:47] <Goldmaxx> ok...
[12:47] <mindfox_afw> unless you have a computer that can be online 24/7 ?
[12:47] <mindfox_afw> but has to be connectable node
[12:48] <Goldmaxx> I dont, maybe other community members
[12:48] <Goldmaxx> but lets asume we dont
[12:48] <mindfox_afw> ok, for 1st month it's $10 / node (including the setup and configuration for it to act as node)
[12:49] <Goldmaxx> ok
[12:49] <mindfox_afw> all prices that I am charged in $ and we'll convert them in btc, ok
[12:49] <mindfox_afw> ?
[12:49] <Goldmaxx> so far so good
[12:50] <mindfox_afw> for the signing node, I charge $100 ($10 node + setup + hardened security because it can't be compromised in any way)
[12:50] <Goldmaxx> ok
[12:50] <mindfox_afw> + 0.5 btc for the fix
[12:50] <mindfox_afw> now, if you want to include advanced control in it and a better unlock button, I can merge the price for 1 btc + extra from nodes
[12:50] <Goldmaxx> Sounds reasonably
[12:51] <mindfox_afw> advanced coin control gives the ability to select which transactions to take coins from
[12:51] <Goldmaxx> Sounds great
[12:51] <Goldmaxx> honestly
[12:51] <mindfox_afw> that allows the user to use the most recent transactions (thus getting more profit from PoS minting)
[12:51] <mindfox_afw> I hope you'll find my prices reasonable enough Smiley
[12:51] <Goldmaxx> I do mate
[12:52] <mindfox_afw> I try not to overcharge coins that are community driven Smiley

Ok, so here is the deal...
This is the time for the community to act!!!

If we don't fix this bug, ECC is doomed to die within days...
We need to collect 1,25BTC asap, so Mindfox can help us out!

I hope everyone understands the importance of this action?
1,25BTC is all we need in order to get going again, no longer under the dictatorship of Hostmaster, but as a free community!!!

Mindfox will accept a 50/50 arrangement...50% in advance and 50% after the fix!!!

Please make your donations in BTC here: 1LxTKMQKEcokUeZS8wDcdWBCbxXZ321kGN

And please dont forget...if we don't act now...all our efforts were in vain...
Today is the day of a new beginning!!!

C. New website

We also need a new website, and someone that can take care of this website (regular updates, maintenance,...)

Current balance

 Balance:5.000.000 ECC
 Balance:0 BTC
 Balance:0 LTC[/center]

i can take care of the website or at least help with it (development and design). are we using the same domain? or will we have to make a new one with new hosting and such?

i currently have a large amount of ECC (80mil+) and i would love to see this coin thrive

EDIT: the node list above me is good. i was able to send to mintpal again with that list. synch to that list and everything should be okay

I still own/host the eccproject.info website that I can repurpose into another cause if we need too. The project was pretty much a failure after the price drop and missing dev support that was promised.

How does it work?

Do i have to create a eccoin.inf and put the nodes in?

Help!

all you have to do is make a ECCoin.conf file in the ecc folder found at this location

(assuming ur on windows and have a C drive) [c drive is just your primary drive]

C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\ECCoin    (the your username is whatever the name of your account is on your computer.

and put the ECCoin.conf file there.

this is what should be put in the conf file:

listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
maxconnections=100
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
addnode=82.233.163.250

OK guys I think we should take the development discussion to the forum.
But instead of making it a private forum, I want to make it public.
The more people there, the faster we get things going.

The forum gives us also a better structure and overview.

I also think we should think again of getting a core team together.
I will post the previous core team structure tomorrow, we can work from there.
There are still a lot of open positions, wich I hope will get filled soon now.

i disagree. you do need a section of closed off forum from the public. having everything in the open isnt good because then you have a bunch of things getting thrown around and no real organization from the team doing it. however, this doesnt mean the developement team shouldnt be transparent. im just pointing out that there is a difference between those two

Today is the day of a new beginning!!!

originally i thought u double posted out of no where. but i see it was just a really bad quoting.

there is a list of proper nodes out. and you can fix your chain with the corrdct nodes and redownload of the chain. i will make a pastebin for it. ill add it in a sec

however i do agree. mindfox to fix the blockchain would be an excellent thing. also. there will be some added buy support added to ecc today. solid walls to make sure the price doesnt fall

add this to the first post please

also is there an attempt for ECCoin to be re-added to http://chainz.cryptoid.info/  we had a nice thing going on there for a while. but i noticed it has been since dropped as a service

there are wallet addresses on the first post you can send coins to and declare what u sent and where u want them to be used for. that is how you donate.

edit: on another note. once the block chain is fixed. if we need a perminant dev. i can assist with that as well. i know the language but have never done coin dev before. so i would just be an assistant at that

I asked yesterday and got the below reply. After the forking issue is corrected it would be good to work with Cryptoid. But it will likely be a pay upfront this time.

"Hello
ECC is in need of a block explorer. What is your requirements for adding a coin?

ECC is going thru a community take over.

Hi, I'm only asking for a contribution towards hosting of 0.25 BTC per blockchain per year.

I was asked for an ECCoin explorer sometime ago and did setup, the person who asked said they would collect funds, but did not hear anymore from him. Also the wallet daemon was experiencing high cpu usage and getting stuck on forks, so I've taken it down."

i can actually take care of setting up a donation pool/wallet for that. i will contact gold about it

the wallets have been set up for the development we just need to fill them!!!

1. Community wallets for development-bounties and give-aways

I Have set up 3 different wallets, one ECC-wallet, one BTC-wallet and one LTC-wallet.

ECC-wallet:      EZxj2oLwnXF12fhcNpZV5hRRVBXjtxpa2f            --> Balance:10.000.000 ECC
BTC-wallet:      1LxTKMQKEcokUeZS8wDcdWBCbxXZ321kGN       --> Balance:0.12025802 BTC
LTC-wallet:      LZ4frp8EVVWNMTxBMZSp5B2qo1Qx4NQMHe       --> Balance:0 LTC

The wallet addresses are public, so everyone can check the transactions and the balances!

E. Block explorer + rich list

This bounty will be used for a working block explorer + rich list.

Current balance

 Balance:0 ECC
 Balance:0 BTC
 Balance:0 LTC

the donation pool works like this... if you donate you get to say where that donation goes in the development!!

Dont forget this is only for the first year and on certain coins
min. coin age = days 42 - max coin age = 85 days

so 25% is a nice number based on the time POS is for

I agree I suppose... 42 days is a long time to hold in the crypto world but I guess the 25% offsets that timeline. Good point!

damn... its nice to see some good activity again for ECC Smiley

It seems there was some confusion yesterday about if there are (and how to fix) sync and blockchain issues.  Did we reach a resolution?  Are we paying a dev to look at it, are we launching a new wallet with new nodes?  Goldmaxx, could you please update on this and the donation status?  I'd be happy to help with the funds as long as there is a clear plan.

And Goldmaxx, thank you very much for taking this over.

And Goldmaxx, thank you very much for taking this over.

We had another chat session with Mindfox yesterday.
I was there together with Daavenger...

It's very clear that we need a fix asap...
Daavenger can confirm this.

As I said before, Mindfox is offering his help, to fix our wallet problem.
He can deliver us secured nodes, a wallet fix (with additional coding), a better version of coin control and a new unlock button.
There will be new wallets (V1.6) for Windows, Linux and Mac.
If we switch to the V1.6, we might consider using a new logo... I like the current one, so I would just change it a little (like make it gold instead of green and add V2 or something like that).

That way we can start with a clean sheet...The world will know that the community took over and overcame the problems we experienced in the past! Eccoin will be back...harder better faster stronger!!!

Tonight I leave for Rock Werchter, so I wont be online for 5 days...
I really, really, really hope all of you guys realize how important this wallet update is...
We all know how hard it is to find a dev that is willing to help us out...
Now that we found one, we really should take this opportunity, not next week, not tomorrow but right now!

I already donated 10 000 000 ECC and 0.12BTC... (so we still need another 1.13BTC in order to pay Mindfox)
If we all do the same today, we can have this fixed by the end of this week!

I will hand over the community wallet to our head of finance, Dr Charles, so he can take care of the payment for Mindfox.

Come one guys...put a smile on my face when I come back next week and I see we have a V1.6 wallet update...

Regards

Goldmaxx

1.13BTC is about 90 LTC...
We need 50% (0.625BTC) in advance, but we need to be very sure that we can pay him the other 50% after completion!

45 LTC up front and 45 LTC when done.  I have 14 in my wallet right now.  I'll donate it if two others pledge the same and then we are basically moving!  Anybody?  Call for action!

Guys, before you start fixing everything, I have one question.

Are you guys the sole owner of the Git-repo?

I supose that Mindfox is going to hardfork the new wallet. If you guys are not the owner of the Git-hub, you are gonna have problems with the exchanges accepting the new wallet.

You have to contact all the exchanges and see if they want to cooperate on the take-over .

We are aware of that...
Mindfox has contacts within Mintpal, Poloniex,... so all will be fine, don't worry.
Anyway, we have no other option left now hostmaster had to leave...

Guys, we need two people to donate 14-16LTC each please.  I will match my own 14 and then we can turn the page and get moving towards where this coin belongs.  Who is with me?

Guys, please...if you want to make a donation, just make the donation...
If we all keep waiting untill someone else goes first, things wont get moving!
I jumped first by donating 10 000 000 ECC + 0.12BTC and by handing over the wallet to Dr Charles.
It's all a matter of trust...if we don't trust each other, this will be going no where...
So please, transfer your 14 LTC to the community wallet and we will transfer it into BTC, so we can pay Mindfox for the fix.
Show the world how solid and strong this community is!!!

Looks like Mintpal has caught word of  multiple forks and has frozen deposits and withdrawals of ECC for the time being so we need to hurry with our wallet fix.

Guys this is a serious problem with the wallet.... if we do not take action now or asap ECC will be dead.
Our chain has forked and the wallet is in trouble......
Blockchain forks are extremely bad for a cryptocurrency. If you sent ECCoins during the fork, there is a chance you would lose them forever if you sent them out on the wrong fork. Ultimately only 1 blockchain will be recognized, and if your coins end up on another blockchain they will disappear. There will be widespread reports of ECC disappearing from mining pools , since the pools were mining on the wrong fork. Also exchanges will probably take a major hit, since ECC will have deposited from the wrong fork confirmed initially and then disappeared later.

If we don't get it together to get the funds required to get this fix out.... we can say goodbye to the original DEV and our coin!!

All this was discussed last night and i didn't realise how bad the situation was until we had said meeting.....

If you want this coin to survive and you want to see the ECC prevail please donate whatever you can to our community fund wallets!!

ECC-wallet:      EZxj2oLwnXF12fhcNpZV5hRRVBXjtxpa2f
BTC-wallet:      1LxTKMQKEcokUeZS8wDcdWBCbxXZ321kGN
LTC-wallet:      LZ4frp8EVVWNMTxBMZSp5B2qo1Qx4NQMHe

I Cant stress enough how bad the situation is please guys and girls give what you can and we promise to look after you all once we are back on our feet!!!

thank you

Probably .40 BTC away from first half. No one has really donated yet. I sent almost 4 LTC and Goldmax and sent in a little over .13btc I think but I think that is it.

He told me he is changing the email address on the wallet log in from his personal address to a generic one he created for me to use as head of finances but mintpal has not completed that transfer yet so I do not have access. I sent Goldmaxx a message to inform the swap as not been completed yet so I cannot evaluate the current holding yet. sorry.

longtime the goal must be bind a dev to the coin by give him shitload ecc so the success of coin is his own success

pay dev in other currency will not make him coin loyal

but i agree for first emergency fix this fast action must be done

let him help u set up a checkpoint and give u a guide how to use it this way at least u prevent future forks
(or lets say always the fork with checkpoint wins...)

i think a dev bound longterm to ecccoin need to be attracted with something like at least 200 million ecc (should be around 1% of actuall existing coins or?)

im willing to donate 10 million ecc for the new dev who stay with coin
now just seek 19 other stakeholder who do the same

We have a dev we need donations so we can pay him to make our new wallet and to upkeep....

Please read the other posts about donations... please just donate to the funds ... and stop waiting for others to donate
we need this done as an urgency, if you wait for others to donate we will achieve nothing ... we are about .40 BTC away from first half of payment and we need the other half 100% so we can get the work that needs doing, DONE!!!

WITHOUT THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT (DONATIONS) ECCOIN WILL DIE AS WE HAVE FORKED AND THE WALLET IS IN TROUBLE EVEN IF YOURS WORKS IT WONT SOON AND YOUR COINS MAY DISAPPEAR AND TRANSACTIONS WILL FAIL. AND THAT'S JUST THE TIP OF THE MASSIVE ICEBERG IN OUR WAY,

Cryptonit please donate and let us know how you would like your donation to be spent...

That applies to everyone...

you donate ... you get to say where that donation goes.....

i cant send my 10 000 000 ecc my wallet is not sync and risc to be on wrong fork

once ur community takeover prove that u able to repair chain

i will support by donating 10 000 000 for a dev that stick with coin

i dont pay for emergency coder who then leave coin again or only work for payments each time

as i said the coin need to find a dev who stick with coin and who is motivated to do this because he own a big share of ECC

and im willing to add my 10 000 000 for creating this future dev stockpile

not for burn and sell them for single dev actions of a hired guy who just sell the ecc and have no personal interest on ecc success

i understand u need money now to pay for emergency

but there i wont help

all my money is bound in coins i wont sell

and as explained above my ecc donation will be for later not for now

first prove the horse is not dead then i start to feed it

I'm sorry for my request so late, and the noob question:
1) What is a "signing node"?
2) Why does he need to merge the coin control? It is not already present in the wallet?
3) The community has already some website, the servers that manage the sites and the site of BlockExplorer, they can act as "active node" 24/7?

Maybe if the dev has to do less work his initial pay may lower.

Last, with regard to the continued funding of the monthly cost,
can be implemented a mandatory version of "Stake for Charity",
as in Hobonickel, sending the share to a public address of the
community and with those funds to pay the Dev, and servers ?

In this way, IMHO, there would be an automatic steady stream of
funds, at least as long as the network remains operating and running.

Hello,

i own 16 M coins.
So if someone wants to rescue the coin, than it should be someone who
has to loose very much on this coin.

First of all the bagholders, that own hundreds of million of ecc.
Dont expect a rescue from little bagholders like me.

To show my good will i spent 300.000,- ecc, but the biggest part has to come from
the whales.  Grin

Is it really taken over? plans?

that have to be proven
u got access to webhost github and are accepted by major exchanges?

we did takeover diamond and we know how hard this is

but we where successful and the coin is in a better state than ever before

so yes comunity takeover can be successful and can save a coin

but without a dev part of team i see no long-term success-story here

feed a pay for each task dev each time u need something is a barrel with a hole in bottom

i saw this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=670026.0
what can i do ? is there anything for me need to do?

As you know i am still on multipool project, what a pity took long time but there were no other way.

you are free to use materials from website or OP graphics, logos etc.

Keep going, i'll get back to this line it seems i need 3-4 more weekends then we are ready with multipool under different domain name. It took enormous efforts for me, i had to satisfy pool dev to make us some favor in development costs. I'll host few more online ECC nodes Though I can accept the role, bad dev.

I understand you. Community may hate from me because they think i was cause of this price drop.
This was because there were alot of inflation for cryptos, enviroment brought new needs, I was in competent to deal with new eco system in time. Recovering ECC is real hard but i believe it can be if community supports it.

good luck

If ECC needs a POS/Multipool then maybe you can think about www.gagapool.pw . They have theire own active devolper, you can mine on sha256, scrypt or x11. They payout at least 2x a day and the devolper is always ready to help.

Ahhh.... the same pattern appears on so many coins

1) Dev suddenly leaves
2) Price drops to near 0
3) Community takes over and asks for donations
4) Dev comes back
5) Price slightly increases due to it being the greates coin ever
6) Dev and the revolution main members sell their stash
7) Coin dies
Cool Gullible people left butthurt for donating their coins

The best help that hostmaster can give is to hand-over the Github.

Trying to fix the code without holding full access to the Github is a waste of time and will take along time before the exchanges will accept to change to the new wallet.

Hello guys,

i recently tried to donate 600.000 ecc to the ecc donation wallet.
But the transaction didnt went through.

My ecc balance is now less 600.000 ecc.
So i think there is a very serious issue with the blockchains/forks.

Any idea where the coins are?

For me it doesent matter, because away is away. But i wish that the coins
woud come in their right places and not into space  Grin.

Hey Guys so I have access now to the community wallets. These are our current balances as of right now.

ECC-wallet:      EZxj2oLwnXF12fhcNpZV5hRRVBXjtxpa2f            --> Balance:10.000.000 ECC
BTC-wallet:      1LxTKMQKEcokUeZS8wDcdWBCbxXZ321kGN       --> Balance:0.12025802 BTC
LTC-wallet:      LZ4frp8EVVWNMTxBMZSp5B2qo1Qx4NQMHe       --> Balance: 3.46192263 LTC

So in total we have about 0.16346205 BTC so far towards our first half goal.

Dr Charles

Hello guys,

i recently tried to donate 600.000 ecc to the ecc donation wallet.

Was your wallet syncing and fully synced before you sent the coins??
Also what nodes did you use?

Sounds like your wallet was on the fork where some other wallets are not effected yet by the fork?

Ahhh.... the same pattern appears on so many coins

This maybe the case for other coins... but i can assure you this is not our intention to Fool anyone we genuinely want this coin to succeed and the community take over is comprised  of about 4 core members at this time .. including myself...

we know asking for donations to keep our coin alive is a hard obstacle to over come....
But we do have a dev who will be on board fully... NOT just for odd jobs here and there,
The github problem has already been addressed as we know people within the exchanges so thats not to much of a problem relaunching wallets with them...

WE JUST NEED OUR WALLET FIXED

And the rest will come directly after that.... we will have the same dev throughout the entire life of the coin.

Without the community (you guys and girls) we will lose this battle and all our ECCoins will be worthless and dead!!

We are asking you to help save the coins life.... we have already donated where we can but we can't do it on our own
Lets get the price back up and the wallets and new things will come!!

Guys, is there an official blockchain explorer for the coin?  As far as we are aware, there are multiple forks and no authoritative source.

We have disabled the currency will de-list if we can't resolve.

Thanks

I am sorry to say this....but you have taken over nothing yet. You have no access to the GitHub, you have not produced a working wallet...you don't have the exchanges supporting you. The only thing that you are doing now is asking everybody to donate and screaming that the comunity took over the coin.

As I stated before you NEED control of the Github! Your answer that you have within the exchanges doesn't do it for me.

Now we see that bittrex-richie is here to warn you. Take this serious and SHOW that you are really doing what you can. If this is not resolving the forked coin, then it's not good enough. An excuse that someone is on vacation... NOT GOOD!!!

I know that bittrex-richie is a cool guy...he helps whenever he can. I know this because I have seen it with an other comunity take-over, recently.

TAKE HIS WORDS SERIOUS....

it's over there is no DEV, not going to donate funds to save a coin that has no community.

There are enough coins, with active devs that are also having difficulties

Let me be more clear, maybe than you understand!!

If you are not the owner of the Github and you fix (hardfork or not) the coin and get the exchanges to accept your wallet, then you are still not in control of the coin, so the take over is not done, even tho you think so.

Let's see....
So you have done all of this and now HostMaster copies your fixed Github wallet, changes the wallet downloads on BCTalk OP thread and people start to use it. You will have 2 wallets that don't know about each other, both POS, minting....

Yes, another fork, created by Hostmaster.....If he wants to take over control...So, GET THE GITHUB, I can't state it enough!!!

Hope you understand, trust on facts.

Hi guys!

I'm back in the land of the living...
You guys kinda disappointed me.
I really had hoped this community had a stronger backbone... Sad
Since no one is willing to make a (hard needed) donation to the community wallets, we can't pay Mindfox to fix our wallet.

I contacted Hostmaster to see what he can do for us...
Is he willing to hand over the Github?

I keep you posted...

OK guys so this is what I have done...

Since there is currently a hold on deposits and withdrawals of ECC at mintpal, I converted the 10 million ECC donated there to LTC and have set up a new secure wallet that will be able to send and receive ECC so those of you that said you wanted to donate ECC but couldn't because of the freeze now can. I will fill the new wallet with 10,000,000 more ECC from my personal stash this afternoon when im off work to supplement the ones I converted to LTC on mintpal.

These are our current balances as of right now.

New ECC-wallet:      EKpw483vJg1dmpibeDWzc3WK8nwNpkvanW      --> Balance:10.000.000 ECC
BTC-wallet:            1LxTKMQKEcokUeZS8wDcdWBCbxXZ321kGN       --> Balance:0.12025802 BTC
LTC-wallet:            LZ4frp8EVVWNMTxBMZSp5B2qo1Qx4NQMHe       --> Balance: 5.65459755 LTC

So in total we have about 0.18980963 BTC so far towards our first half goal + the 10,000,000 ECC in the secure wallet.

we need this.
