Saying that, your diff is quite high for an S3 .... unless ofcourse you are solo-mining, or not mining just bitcoin. |

I just lowered my diff, we will see what happens. Im using multipool.us so not mining only bitcoin, does that affect how much?

If you are mining other coins or the pool is setting your diff, then it may be OK, but 4096 certainly is too high for mining BTC on an S3 (especially on a pool). In the final analysis, you should earn the same as the earnings are weighted by the share size, but you will end up submitting fewer shares in the same timespan than if your diff was lower (e.g 400), and your rejects / stales are going to be un-necessarily expensive. Infact, that may explain your earlier lower pool reported rate. |

Hmm it atleast did something, now multipool is showing that I'm hashing over at over 500GH/S speed  |

Just got my S3+ in tonight, hooked it up and for some reason it simply isn't hashing. I've tried setting it up with Slush's pool and BAN and nothing. My S2 was a breeze compared to this thing. For the power supply I have a corsair cx750m so it should have plenty of power. Anyone have any suggestions?

Same old .... if you can connect to it via the web interface, make sure the network is set to DHCP. I think S2;s ship with that set, but most S3's ship with a static setting. |

One of the Common Misconfigurations is WRONG GATEWAY. Please check if your gateway is correct. If you are using windows, open up a command prompt and type "ipconfig" it will bring up your gateway IP you are connected to. Please make sure it is the same on your Antminer Also, a screenshot or two would help trouble shoot here! Just got my S3+ in tonight, hooked it up and for some reason it simply isn't hashing. Got it working tonight after work... Just had to change the network settings around a bit to match the S2's other than the ip address.

I've seen that my cgminer Elapsed time needs to be reset if the miner is down for a period or else the downtime is averaged into the hashrate. I usually have an ssh session open to each miner and run a short shell script with /etc/init.d/cgminer stop && sleep 2 && /etc/init.d/cgminer start which resets the Elapsed time to zero. Is there a Run command accessible from the GUI such that I don't need to do the restart from an ssh session?

My impressions from the S3+ after running for almost a full 24 hours... I love how quiet the miner is! The beep itself even is subtle which is nice since there's others besides myself in the house.

I guess I should have added, prior to buying one is there a way to test the unit. I purchased one last week and it is working great, but got nervous because people were saying to purchase from a reputable source. I would like to purchase another one soon and just looking for ideas about a used one.

I just bought 2 s3s a few days ago and one of the temp readings is very off. It reads 1-2 degrees and is obviously not possible for the amount that it's hashing. Is there any fix to this? I already tried to update firmware from stock to latest and it made no difference. I'm concerned because its off on the hotter side, so if temps go up, it may not shut down correctly once it reaches a critical temp and also could be a fire hazard. Also, the fans in one are spinning much faster than the other, even though they are right beside each other and running off the same PSU (1000w Dell server PSU running at 800w since it's 120v). I do notice that the temps are slightly higher in the one where the fans run faster, but only by 2-3 degrees, so I don't see why the fans should be spinning 50%+ faster than the other.
