great odds, looking good, I'm trying..
thanks!

We are thinking about building and API for our site that would make it possible to "invest" in sportbets/ be the house. It would take the odds from e.g. betfair.com and investors could choose to place this odds automatically on fairlay (with a spread they choose) That would a) help us - since we get more liquid markets and b) would be profitable with very little effort for investors. In the end it would be like an investment at: https://just-dice.com/

Is there any interest for this?

it not a sport bet: but currently excellent odds:
https://www.fairlay.com/predict/registered/new/next-difficulty-31b/

bet against difficulty >31B at odds of 3.5. Note that from the current difficulty data odds should be more like 2. (50%/50%)

Way better odds than Betfair for prediction against Democrats to control senate:

Fairlay:

Betfair:

Finally - we are back with soccer events:

https://www.fairlay.com/event/category/sports/uefa-euro/

As usually we have really good odds.
(We do have now an API and a first market maker for sport bets. They promised to offer really good odds. Moreover, the best odds you will find in the net. So if you can find better odds somewhere else: post them here and they will update the odds. Or you can simply request these odds yourself on fairlay.com)

We will offer the full,

Bundesliga,
Premier League,
La Liga

soon. What other leagues/sports are you interested in?

P.S. still, if you are interested in market making: drop us a line or have a look at our API: fairlay.com/api/browser/

https://www.fairlay.com/event/category/sports/

and again, often with better odds than betfair:
E.g: lay on win Bayern (against Dortmund)
Betfair: 2.92
http://www.betfair.com/exchange/football/event?id=27291947
Fairlay: 3.032

Nice website, love it. Will place my first bets the coming hours Cool

My first suggestions for accounts:

-At the registration form add a 'repeat password' field.
-Make an option to change your password.

Keep up the good work!

True, Betdaq is very good. But they blocked several countries months ago (something to do with jurisdiction) - also my country Sad

Thank you. We are always kind of annoyed by typing the password twice. If you did it wrong you always have the option to reset it with your email address. This is also the way to change your password - click on "forgot my password" link. Maybe we should add a "normal" forget my password option.

By the way - we added NFL to our sports selection: https://www.fairlay.com/event/category/sports/

Ive made a good chunk on the difficulty bets. Sadly no one seems to be betting on the next change. I wish there were more users. Go go advertise!!

Hey - yes, indeed we have focused on getting sport events started in the last weeks. But since they start to do well we will again focus on promoting our difficulty events again.

By the way - you could help us with a rating of Fairlay here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577102.580

Since the hash rate is dipping this is again an interesting prediction:
https://www.fairlay.com/predict/registered/new/difficulty-will-decrease-in-2014/

A very interesting one on the start of the ethereum main net: currently 0.8 BTC in open predictions:
https://www.fairlay.com/event/category/bitcoin/altcoins/

And finally: sports are getting more and more traction: you really might find great odds:
https://www.fairlay.com/event/category/sports/

What you may not realize about fairlay

And something you may not actually care about, but anyway, it took me by surprise.

Once you deposit funds into Fairly, you cannot withdraw them unless you make a backed prediction.

Perhaps this is in place to make sure people don't run off with their complimentary 1 mBTC. But there isn't an option to withdraw everything but that amount, either.

I deposited 200 mBTC into Fairlay wanting to look around, get a feel for things, and possibly place a prediction. This morning I decided I didn't want to gamble and was greeted by the surprise that not gambling is not an option. I had to place a bet in order to take what remaining coins I had. Who knows, maybe I'll win, maybe I'll like it and come back... but I'm still put off by there being no option to not gamble.

It's equivalent to walking into a casino, buying chips, then they refuse to cash you out if you decide gambling is a bad idea.

I suggest that Fairlay review this policy and consider changing it. It's possible that this is in the fine print somewhere, or perhaps it's obvious and I overlooked it, but either way, it's not especially fair.

Uhh - sorry for that bad experience. That was really never our intention.

Indeed people started abusing the free 1mBTC so we decided to make a deposit and a prediction required to cash out.

What is possible: deposit -> place your free 1mBTC on something -> withdrawal

However - we will change the rules in a way that you always can withdrawal the sum you deposited.
So - thank you for making us aware of this problem.

No sports but currently maybe even more interesting: we have new events on the latest Bitstamp events:

https://www.fairlay.com/event/category/bitcoin/bad-news/
When will Bitstamp allow Bitcoin withdrawals again?

Will you have more events (including live)? When will you end Beta?

On BetBTC.co we have the platform already on live stage with all these and even more features, take a look you won't regret.
