Sometimes rigs just plain lock up or otherwise stop mining.  Most of the time this is detectable in AM.  I'd like to implement some kind of hardware-based physical cycling of power on a rig based on AM notifications/rules.  Does anyone have recommendations on what to use to achieve this?  I'm assuming AM is capable of this, even if it requires C# coding.  I haven't gotten that far yet.  The alternative is some kind of local heartbeat monitoring outside of AM.  This may make more sense anyway in case AM is down, etc.

I use a Raspberry Pi with some relays and some software that someone developed here on Bitcointalk:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1933467.0

There's also the SimpleMiner Rig Resetter:

https://shop.simplemining.net/ssrv2.html?___SID=U

Though, he's out of stock until January.  It's a little pricey... which is why I rolled my own resetter relay based on the Raspberry Pi... plus a I had a couple of Pis sitting around doing nothing.

Some very cheap miner watchdog devices available from ebay  - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-Watchdog-Timer-Card-Module-Automatic-Restart-IP-Electronic-for-Mining-PC/173018475361?hash=item2848b46b61:g:QfMAAOSwjM5aIRX9
Just resets the PC if it doesn't get a signal via USB for a certain time.

Where is that "-p c=BTC" coming from?  I'm pretty sure you don't have to specify the coin in the password field for zpool unless you specifically want to exchange to a different coin.  BTC is the default coin.  Can you remove this from your custom command line fields if that's where you put it?

I believe AM will add the "-p c=BTC" by default for zpool.  I don't think it really matter though if it's there or not.

There needs to be a way to limit the amount of logs or the total size of logs the AM service creates. I've had certain miners with GB worth of logs that I have to manually delete. Please add this ASAP.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Happens that pool is down or your internet connection is down. Nothing to do with AM.

I only run a couple miners but I have not had this issue until I started using the profit managed miner setup.

I would know if my internet went down...

AM —> Mining Software —> internet connection.

AM is only launching your software which connects to internet.

AM has nothing to do with your internet connection and the mining softwarw doesnt lie.

Double check your gateway and dns settings on that miner.

Make sure the IP also doesnt conflict.

I would also check that 91 celcius nvidia rig unless you don t mind burning it.

Try to keep your gpus under 75 to be on the longevity side.

Hi all.

I'm trying to mine some coins on awesome miner application. With the algorithm CryptoNight and the software CpuMiner-Opt. But when I click the button to start, I get an error. I go to the diagnostic panel, and it appears to me this message:
Failed to start mining process:InvalidApplication
Failed to start miner in Diagnostics mode
Diagnostics completed

Probably this is a noob question. I found some people with the same problem. But they got no answers.
Maybe you can help me.

Having an issue with certain miners where it will close immediately after opening.

Equihash is one, not sure which miner it is trying to use.

trying to use which a  GPU as hardware or CPU as hardware ?.

CpuMiner-Opt only works with CPU's  and won't work with GPU's ...

what are your pool setting ? . some pools only work with CPU's, some work with both GPU's and CPU's for XMR mining .

make sure to follow this guide to set up a managed miner http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/managedwizard.aspx

Hey all.  I've successfully added zpool Neoscrypt mining on awesome miner.  However, whenever I try to mine a new algo, for example Xevan, awesomeminer just ignores my settings and starts mining blake2s.  Not sure if I'm missing something.

1)I make Xevan under algorithms

2)I add Xevan under online services, using various urls
(mine.zpool.ca:3739)
(xevan.mine.zpool.ca:3739)
(stratum+tcp://xevan.mine.zpool.ca:3739)

Am I missing something?  Do I have to tell it which miner to use?  How would I do that?

Thanks,
-Sityl

Edit:  Under "Predefined Management Software Properties" under the Managed Software tab, it has Xevan listed as disabled, but I cant find a way to enable it.

hey all, I'm looking for some configuration advice.

system specs are:
Pentium G4650 w/stock cooler
Astock H110 Pro BTC+
8GB (2x 4GB) Crucial DDR4 2133mhz Value RAM
Windows 10 Pro 64
4x MSI GTX 1070 iTX
4x PNY GTX 1070 Blower (non FE)
1x Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ LE

originally I had the 8x GTX 1070's for mining while using the G4650 IGP as my video out, but I had issues with Windows seeing cards that AM didn't and sometimes, Windows would even drop GPU's. as a hail mary, I disabled the IGP and went video out on one of the 1070's and my problems seemed to have gone away.

now I want to add the RX 580 to the mix and I'm just wondering if anyone has some advice on making the nV driver and Radeon driver play nicely with each other.

I plan on getting one of those headless USB/HDMI dongles, as I plan on managing my miners via Teamviewer only. speaking of which, does anyone know if I need to have a keyboard/mouse plugged into the board if I'm going to use TV13? be nice if I can just have the PC there with no peripherals cluttering up space. Tongue

thank you very much for the help! Smiley

another addition to the wishlist:

At the moment I can choose between current statistics and 24h statistics for profit calculation.
At least the yiimp-based pools like zpool and hashrefinery also have "24h estimated" included in the api. If it would be possible to choose which one awesome miner should use - "last 24h", "current", "estimated 24h" - something like that - would be nice :-)

Another part is the cloud/site management. I would like to see if I have more than one instance of awesome miner running and set "cloud site 1" for every one of them, that the cloud shows all miners at once. At the moment every instance has to be a separate "site"

Thanks
