Hi patrike,

I'm experiencing an issue mining with excavator through AM.

I'm using excavator 1.4.4a, with the "default_command_file.json" included it works well.
With AM it worked fine but not anymore, no regard how much GPU I select in benchmark or wich algorithm or wich pool I choose, I always got this

It looks like Awesome Miner think you are using Excavator 1.5, as it will try to connect to "nhmp.eu.nicehash.com:3200". It might be the detection in Awesome Miner isn't perfect for this scenario. Do you want to use 1.4 or is 1.5 an option?

I prefer keeping 1.4 version so I can use any server and not only nicehash's one.

Would it be possible in the next update to split Excavator 1.4 and 1.5 or to add an option to tell AM wich version of excavator is working on the miner ?

Thx
I've fixed an issue with the auto detection of Excavator 1.4 vs 1.5 so the next release should take care of this.

Hey Patrike,

a small suggestion:

In the Miners tab, below under Summary, you show us usefull informations. Can you also show there the "Profit Profile Hashrate"? Its just to easy compare the entered hashrate with the real hashrate, especially when a new miner version is released and I dont want to benchmark all again. Right now I have to click into the "Edit Profit Profile" or the "Online Services" tab and chosing the right profile to show the right numbersand then compare.
Thanks for your feature suggestion. Maybe it should even be configurable to have it displayed just below the hashrate of each miner, but in a more gray color? I've also been thinking of having some concept where the current hashrate turns red if it's too low compared to the profile hashrate.

Yes, this would be awesome!

Any chance you can add a way for other "income" streams to be added. For example, the ability to track earnings from Masternodes and see then as a form of revenue in the dashboard as part of the daily income? Or the ability to monitor an address to show revenue or a manually entered $ for GPU's or ASICs hosted and managed outside of Awesomeminer?

Anyway to fix the benchmarking issue. I cannot save any benchmarks to my profiles, and for some reason the benchmarks are showing different hashrates on the benchmark than when running. Maybe a way to upload the save to clipboard and use that if it doesnt want to save to the profile.
Which version of Awesome Miner are you running?

Can you describe the steps you use to reproduce the issue and more details of what happens? For example, is the hashrate showing up in the "Benchmark result" column? Is the column "Configured hashrate" updated when you clicked the "Save to profile"-button? But when looking at the actual profile later on, it's still the old values?

So i will run a benchmark on more than one rig and i run precise. When they are finished i click save to profile (Every benchmark is to a different profile). When i click save to profile it shows up on the benchmark that it changed but when i view the profile it doesn't change the profile. So when benchmark is closed all data is lost. It was on the developmental version 10 before the most recent.
Thanks for the clarification. I've unfortunately not been able to reproduce this scenario yet, but I will continue looking at what this could be.

If you find out any more details at some point, for example if it's only in specific scenarios you run into this issue, please let me know. Thanks!

Its on 8 GPU Rigs, when running all Nvidia only Mining Software where some do not finish. I use Precise or even Fast and it will not save over. So what i did was i ran a benchmark test on 4 rigs at a time, and i was only able to save 1 to the profile. The rest would not save over, and the one that saved to the profile was the only one that had a result on every algo. The other ones missed some results and were left blank.

How do you tell it to not mine if gpus / multipool is not profitable over electric? I see where I can input my electric cost, say 0.24 c/kwh , but I have no idea how or where to tell it to only mine if profitable over electric costs. Please help.

Have you checked the Options-> Rules

where you can set trigger to "Profile Profit" along with other conditions

how do you benchmark hex , its not available on profit switching
You need a pool for it available for the profit switcher. If you are using one of the last few development versions you should be able to use Zpool or Zergpool with Hex.

There are currently no features for this in Awesome Miner.

We do have a user here on the forum (soothaa) that developed a plugin for Masternodes:

Awesome Miner Version 5.3.12 (Development preview of 5.4)

The main content for this update (compared to 5.3.11):

1) Run batch commands as Administrator
2) In the diagnostics dialog, you can perform a cleanup of all downloaded mining software.
3) Updated mining software versions

The plan is to release the public version 5.4 within 2-3 days.

some of the new miners bundled with most recent version are screwing with the power limit set to 60% on my 1070, after a few hours I found that setting ignored and miner going on full power, any hint how to battle that horrendrous behavior, I can't pinpoint which miner does that because all work as expected with powerlimit 60%(set with afterburner upon boot in w10) until it goes wrong.

check if it's CryptoDredge, prior to 0.7.0, their DevFee sessions have (accused) been seen altering PL to 100%

0.7.0 and later doesn't do this anymore

well it does not seems to have stopped doing that, running latest 0.8.30

it was not CryptoDredge, it was Z-enemy doing that, got him mining Hex and screwing with powerlimit right after start.

Yet another issue here :Nvidia  rigs crashing with zero OC ,this always seems to happen when the miner is trying to switch to klaus ccminer or from that to zenemy.

Ths rigs work fine for a while even switching back an forth , eventually they seem to eiher reboot and stop mining
even though i have auto start on reboot.  Other rigs just stop mining , In the awesome Notification log i see the error to many tries

if you're mining on a Yiimp-type pool, then you can set "p=X" (or "p=X,c=BTC") as a password for your pool, where X is the static diff value.

@patrike
seen this several times already and again today - AM fails to self-update. after downloading the msi package, it tries to update itself but silently fails (window with "Updating..." progressbar just closes and nothing happens then).
after that I can see stuck "AwesomeMiner.exe" process in the Task Manager and what is really strange is that I can't stop it, nothing happens when I click the "End process" button.

using the Unlocker tool or rebooting the PC helps, after that I can update AM manually with msi package.

hope you can fix it. thank you Smiley

Hello, I'm new to Awesome Miner, and having trouble with Norton Security. I was doing okay with other miners such as ccminer, ewbf, bminer, zenemy, nicehash, but can't run Awesome Miner on my Windows 10 PC.
I've killed Norton Security (disabled auto protection, and smart firewall.), but gives me an error 'Failed to start miner process: InvalidApplication.' Should I uninstall Norton Security completely from the PC to run the miner?

Hello Patrike,
Thanks a lot for adding ability to update softwares using local network shares. It works perfectly !

I would have another request regarding benchmarking. Most of the softwares allow AM to read power consumption from graphic cards.
Could you add the possibility for AM to read this power data during benchmarking and save it at same time it save hashrate ?
I know it's not representative of the global power used by a rig but it could be enough to compare profits between algorithms...
