Why a self moderated topic?

There is no rational reason. Of the 20 largest altcoin threads, only UTC, XC and ZEIT are self-moderated. Come on, with most people still bitter from the losses after the demise of the first team, Silk needs every bit of credibility it can get and I don't think this is helping the coin at all.

Everywhere is SC, why do you change it? It's the only good thing from past.

Name change would have the opposite effect, it would be suspicious. "Hey Silk are those of SilkCoin, they only change name"

Joker, did you download the blockchain zip? If so, try doing a clean install of the wallet WITHOUT it, and just leave your machine on for a few hours to sync from scratch. That worked perfectly for me. Also, if you're on Windows, make sure you're not running a 3rd-party firewall that might be blocking the sync.

That worked perfectly for me. Also, if you're on Windows, make sure you're not running a 3rd-party firewall that might be blocking the sync.

Tried both. with a clean blockchain and with the zip blockchain.

If i download the wallet and delete everything in the folder except wallet.dat it syncs till 60000, from that amount it's going very slowly. it went from 60000 to 60147 in 12 hours. (Enough nodes and 120mbit/s)
