So if a city like detroit or flint michigan which is broke
or
a broke state like california
were to issue their own scrip similar to this article then wouldn't it help facilitate trade and maybe help maintain failing infrastructure?

The government of Pennsylvania, without amassing any [gold or silver], invented a method of lending, not money indeed, but what is equivalent to money to its subjects. [It advanced] to private people at interest, upon [land as collateral], paper bills of credit…made transferable from hand to hand like bank notes, and declared by act of assembly to be legal tender in all payments…[the system] went a considerable way toward defraying the annual expense…of that…government [low taxes]. [Pennsylvania’s] paper currency…is said never to have sunk below the value of gold and silver which was current in the colony before the…issue of paper money.

We could call it detroitscrip coin or flintmichigan ScripCoin or CaliScrip coin

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

No coin can help region that is not having production or services going on. Fuck it it's called capitalism, that's how things work, you need to produce goods or provide services to be able to develop. And you need to do this for continous time, which failed in Detroit, car industry shrinked, Detroit got fucked.

Bitcoin is DEAD
