hey all, just want to let miners know that I experienced a sudden welcome gain of +10mh/s today after apt-upgrading packages including the fglrx driver and module. and this is on a shitty 4xxx card which I thought i'd maxed out. I am informed by smart people that this makes sense because the new version is quite a bit faster. if you are on Debian, pin to sid/unstable and reap the benefits!

cheers

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

ok, I'd like to add, this was with 12.1. apparently 12.2 just came out and it's a bit slower. sucks, plus I'm told 12.1 has bugs

an update from debian has fixed whatever the slowdown-causing issue was. package version is now 12.2-2
