The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Anyone else having trouble with truckcoin wallet sticking at block 21,500???

I remember this problem, I think I just restarted the client once or twice and then got it to keep going. My guess (but not sure) is the checkpoint server slowing natural syncing... I will remove the checkpoint key for the updated HyperStake wallet.

If you can't get it to take I can upload an archive of the chain.

Thanks, we will definitely need truckcoiners to keep the blockchain moving in the first few weeks. Mature blocks are going to be a bit scarce at first I would guess.

Yep you can buy TRK on bittrex or allcoin. Right now bittrex is saying the TRK market is down, not sure if this is problem on my end or theirs... Allcoin seems fine.

EDIT nm bittrex seems fine.

How much have this coin max?

There is really no such thing as a maximum circulation of coins for most peercoin clones, it is a miscode and is actually a maximum transaction amount.

Not yet.  What I am going to do is generate the first forked block, checkpoint it and then build the client with the checkpoint and distribute it.

Now I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. We will have both TRK and HYP coins and TRK coin will still be around after?

I'd just like to confirm, for anyone who's just downloaded the Truckcoin wallet for the first time....

Presstab, you are right - the wallet needed opening a few times (around 6 in my case) - and it wasn't a one-off experience, I tried it on a couple of PC's.
The blocks would update to 21,000, then 21,500, then 22,000 etc - every 500 blocks they'd freeze - but eventually after enough restarts, they were completely up to date.

On another note, I trust everything is still running smoothly with NOBL testing Smiley

Yep you understand correctly. They will fork into separate chains.  You will still be able to use and maintain TRK just as they were before this, no problem at all.

One more thing - I transferred my coins from Bittrex to my wallet in blocks of 1,600 - was that right, or was it better to transfer them in blocks of 1,000?

1600 is the best. As long as they stake in less than 30 days you will get full reward no problem.

I couldn't see a richlist for TRUCK - I was interested to find out who the biggest holders are and to see how well it's dispersed, which will be obviously mirrored in HYP.

So, just for clarification; wallet.dat is to be COPIED from TRK to HYP, and both wallets will still initially work with equal coins?
or are we moving from TRK to HYP and closing TRK?

from what i'm reading; we currently have a sort-of buy one get one free thing going on, yeah?

Ideally, I'd like bounties to be only the consequence of staking. Not that I am greedy, but this would be an experiment too: is staking for bounties economically viable?
Probably this would require more than just us to stake. Some "preferred members" would pledge to redirect part or all of the staking to bounty (we'll set up an address for this). This address itself would stake, of course. So, the bounty address would function as an endowment fund (endowment funds usually not allowed to use their principal sum, only their interest).
Downsides are that you won't have any bounty before first staking plus the usual risk involved with experiment. But I'd like to try it.

presstab, anyone?

Bounty team:
Members of the bounty team pledge to redirect at least one part of their own stake to the "stake bounty" address. In order to not corrupt the experiment, they will refrain from sending their principal to the stake bounty address (they can still send some to the "regular generic bounty" address).
