but problem is how can you convince people to buy navs instead of DRK,LTC,BTC,XMR,NEM,NXT,XRP and thousand more coins out there.

i believe there are hundreds of coins better than btc but is not successful.

we need to come up how btc,drk,ltc gained success.

i think we need to have a target market. you see other coins can also boast anonymity tech. ssd,sdc,xst etc

i think a kick ass name and kick ass wallet ui may be a first step.
new investors always get attracted to good visual wallet. we cant deny that SDC is ahead of us at that matter.

maybe we could learn something from the pr team of top coins out there on how they got mainstream.

ps: sorry if i offend the devs or wallet designer of the coin but i gotta tell my opinion.

hope you look into this. this one is what led me to buy sdc when it was at 18-20k sat.

when i first got into mining and went to choose which coins i will mine. first thing i do is check btctalk and download the wallet.
when i see the basic wallet i immadiately think this coin is garbage

and when i first bought coins cause mining wont give you earnings unless you buy thousand dollar miners, wallet is still what gets my attention.

if im a new investor and saw Shadow coin wallet and navajo coin wallet.

it is a no brainer which coin would i pick.
