So what does one need in order to setup a Navtech server?  You would need a decent pool of NAV, correct?  What about hardware wise, what kind of setup would you need?

No info on server specs but gives a nice over view of how they will be used. How you can find 3rd party servers and use hashes to prove they are using unmodified code.

What does Nav do to make the PoS system safe and tackle the Nothing-At-Stake problem?

I do not know what Nav did to tackle this problem and I am curious if and how it is done. In general I am interested in the PoS vs PoW discussion. I do think PoW is a waste of energy and money for mining.

As soon as decentraliced system is available, i want to install a set of 1-3 nodes into my datacenter. Installed on physical servers, into a drive previously mounted from an encrypted file though dm-crypt using aes-cbc-essiv:sha256 running 0 internet services. If someone get the server and/or the HDD, must shutdown it, then drive/folder/file must be mounted after boot, and will be imposible to read the content of the HDD. Reading the whitepaper i found nodes will have public votation, in order to improve security i can assume to lose this reputation if i have any kind of hardware/power failure, because i can create a 30 character random password and copy paste into the cryptsetup partition and i'll never know the password itself. If the server crashes i must reinstall the whole process. Anyway i have several servers running with 600-1000 days of uptime. The unique point of failure for this secure system its me. But maybe there is a way to build a program which automatically creates a random password and apply into the encrypted drive, and lose it. Create a MD5 Hash of the application, makes the application public, and record the md5 verification and after it the execution of the decentraliced system. There will be no way to change/remount the password once it has been umounted. A reinstallation must be done.

This is my point of view of security. Yes im paranoid. 

All of this just to allow people to send NAVCoins securely anonymous.

Interesting problem. It is not something we've spent any time addressing at this stage. Sounds like it has minimal impact and quite unlikely occurrence, but we will keep an eye out for solutions and implement one when it becomes available.

Interesting problem. It is not something we've spent any time addressing at this stage. Sounds like it has minimal impact and quite unlikely occurrence, but we will keep an eye out for solutions and implement one when it becomes available.
