1. Are all parts of this coin's software fully open source with no closed source software at all?

2. How is this coin better than Monero?

Yep 100% open source.

In our opinion, any coin which carries transactions on a single public blockchain is by nature not 100% anonymous since sender and receiver can be potentially linked.

What information about the originator does the processing server know about (originator IP, wallet address, amount available to spend, etc.).

The incoming server knows all the information about the originator, however it doesn't record any of it as verified by reading the source on github. The outgoing server knows nothing about the originator, it only knows about the incoming server which forwarded the transaction. This is part of how we disconnect originator from receiver and why we setup 2 servers and not just one.

What is the potential that the decrypted data can be viewed by the server operator and/or logged by the server operator?.

High potential. This is why each server operator only transacts within their trusted cluster and each cluster is publicly listed with user ratings. The Official Nav Coin cluster guarantees that we run the exact code which is available on our public github which can be verified not to be recording any of the encrypted data. If you don't trust us, configure your wallet to use a cluster whose operator you do trust. If you don't trust any operators, then feel free to setup your own private cluster that only you use.

What is the size of the preloaded pool of NAVcoins?

We have 50k loaded on each of our 4 outgoing servers. This amount can be whatever you like really, but it should be at least the size you set your maximum transaction amount to be.

He has the richest cabinet in US history. He is starting a trade war vs China will make all the markets very uncertain.

Well aware of this

For now the thin clients provide an easy way for holding coins. Staking is a little more complicated but by no means impossible with the available guides. I do understand however that for the average user it is too complicated. Unfortunately the team is limited in time and can only do so much at the same time. Offering an easier way of staking, anon sending and usage of Nav Coin in general always has a high priority. But next to that innovations like Navtech Polymorph also take up resources.

Now the focus is on the sync fix for 3.9 and the projects as mentioned at NAVcoin.org/projects. Hopefully soon we will see easier options for anon transactions and staking coins. Keep in mind that the webwallet will come soon!

The next version to come out 3.9.1 will not have the synch issue so no need to download  the blockchain.zip after that.

Easy is the enemy of secure.  It's a hassle to go through a metal detector And having to keep a bunch of keys on a keyring and rembering what key is used where makes it worse and secure passwords are not easy.

If the devs alowed a way of finding anon servers like it finds nodes that have the blockchain. It would be easy but then someone that makes an anon server that just steals your NAV would be added to list automatically. they could automatically add the navdev anon servers but that breaks decentralization.

Maybe the wallet can contain a page like send and receive pages where you can enter a navtech serer IP from a wallet page (you can add temp servers on the console) having a way to scan a QR code and get a server would be nice also.

But we are still early days on this, non dev server code has been out for a week.  no one has a non navdev navtech server usable and announced yet.

that said I do actually agree with you that making it simply to use while keeping is safe is were new development needs to be done.

I would say because no non-dev servers are up and available yet. once there are some up and running it can be closed. Give it another week
