Interesting that this article was written almost exactly one year ago.

Price was around $76

http://www.forbes.com/sites/quora/2013/07/12/is-bitcoin-crashing-as-of-early-july-2013/

We can do better than that. Here is a "Bitcoin is dying" article from November 2011 http://www.wired.com/2011/11/mf_bitcoin/

Price was around $2.30

Hope it keeps "dying" to the tune of yet another 139-fold increase in value to a little more than $86,000.  Die bitcoin, die.

Early buyers / adopters / venture capital firms are spending their bitcoins so hard to recover the cost or cut loose these days,

expedia / newegg / ... are also dumping so many bitcoins on multiple exchange markets

The price is dropping to $500 !

by 'recover cost' do you mean 'take profits'? cuz the early buyers paid like pennies for those coins. maybe a few dollars, i doubt they've been sweating the overhead while they got filthy rich by just waiting around.

I bought a million doge. Not because I think they will be worth anything, but just because I wanted to have a million of them. I've put them in a nice bag. Should I have doubt?

Only you can decide that. If you need direction, maybe read the writing on the wall.

You are overly pessimistic. Still grow to the moon, when the capitalization grow, and it's not far.

You are overly pessimistic. Still grow to the moon, when the capitalization grow, and it's not far.

We cannot go to the moon. For example, Apollo program required 24 billion USD in 1969 to land people on the moon.

quote from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_program

Landing men on the Moon by the end of 1969 required the most sudden burst of technological creativity, and the largest commitment of resources (USD$24 billion) ever made by any nation in peacetime.

Adjusting 1969 USD to 2014 USD, we get:

$157,554,253,521.12
Annual Inflation: 4.27%
Total Inflation: 556.48%
Source: http://www.dollartimes.com/inflation/inflation.php

We have 13M BTC mined (including lost ones) so we would get a price of 12,119 USD per coin. Not exactly moon...
