The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I know that cryptocurrencies experience fluctuations in pricing but can anyone explain to me what would cause the price to deflate? I'm watching CaptCoin's price on Coin-Swap to gauge its worth and I see more drops than ups despite the rising popularity in this coin. Anyone want to give me a basic answer?

Did you know CAPTcoin pays you 30% interest per year just for holding it?

To do that, follow these steps:

Do not keep your CAPTcoin on an exchange.
Keep it in your own computer, using the Windows, Mac or Linux official wallets.
Keep your wallet online.
If you encrypted your wallet, unlock it.
Does it necessary to keep my computer always turn on with loaded CAPT wallet? Or I can just turn it on time to time?

So CaptCoin is being added to another coin exchange website? That should drive the price up, right?

just if you want to mint more coins then keep it open and online.  You can also earn minted coins if you run it from time to time but you wont get as much.

CAPT coin age:  staking starts at 8 hours max age 50 days...  if you turn off your computer the coins wont stake BUT when you do turn it on the coins will be 'older' and more likely to stake....

Keeping it on continuosly will earn some percentage more CAPT staking however not enough to write home about UNLESS you keep it off for longer than 50 days....

PLUS they will pay out any coins they stake to the CAPT holders.... that is their policy with staking POS coins...

So say I have 50 day-old coins staking on my wallet for those 50 days continuously. Will they no longer stake after those 50 days of continuous stake? Will restarting my wallet at this point reset their age?

No, restarting your wallet does not affect coin age ( coins exist on the blockchain, that is network-wide ) however your wallet only stakes your coins when it is running... if you leave your wallet closed for 20 days and THEN open it... your coins will then be 20 days old, and far more likely to stake right away than others who's coins are 'younger'. Once your coins stake their age resets to zero, and you start all over again... the reason why keeping your wallet open all the time gets you a little more is they 'can' stake every 8 hours.... your chance of staking coins depends on their age and network weight ( network weight is how many OTHER people are competing with you for the next block )

So say I have 50 day-old coins staking on my wallet for those 50 days continuously. Will they no longer stake after those 50 days of continuous stake? Will restarting my wallet at this point reset their age?

Adding to kbroadfoot's response:

They won't stop staking after 50 days.

Max age means that's the maximum time span your coins can accumulate age.

So, 10-day coins are more likely to stake than 5-day coins, and 50-day coins are more likely to stake than 10-day coins.
But 75-day or 100-day coins are exactly as much likely to stake than 50-day coins.

But any coin can stake as far as it's older than 8 hours since its last transactions.

I just talked to the real owner/admin of coin-swap and he has told me that he was away in Costa Rica for a wedding and was told that he would have internet but he did not. They had a problem with the CAPTcoin wallet and all deposits to the exchange got stuck.

He told me he will be home late tonight and he will work on it right away.

Coin-Swap is a great exchange but they had a little hiccup that will be fixed by tomorrow.

Let's all change our bad words we posted about cs because they are not a scam and should not be labeled as such.  Wink

Are you sure you don't have ports 26651 or 26652 blocked?
It seems my firewall is blocking incoming request to port:26652
would that slow down my sync-ing? or have any other significant effect to me or to the network
and I'm using the included .conf file, would adding a few more nodes to the .conf speed up the sync-ing process?
because right now it's showing only about 4-8 connections, is this normal?
sorry for so many questions, this is my first desktop qt client ever Grin
once I got the blockchain fully downloaded, expect a lot more questions coming... about staking & stuff  Wink

I Just Talked To The Copin-Swap Admin!

He is on his way home from a wedding and will have it all fixed by tomorrow at the latest.

Thanks Admin For The Reply  Grin
last time one of them (coinswap's staff I think) said the Admin are on vacation somewhere in a jungle or mountain
now he's on way home from a wedding? I'm confused, which one is true?
