Just downloaded the BTCD- wallet on windows. But it isn't syncing. Closed and reopened a couple times, didn't help. Any ideas?

Been answered many times before in this thread. Check the OP.

I don't get this - why I see different balances in block explorer and in my wallet..?

My wallet is ok, it is 100% synced...

Your wallet will show a combined total of all addresses as when you stake, it's often on a different address even though you can't see it. Explorer will show the specific balance for that specific address. It can not know all the addresses that belong to you, so that's why there are differences.

do we have masternode wallet

You're in the wrong thread. There is no such gimmick called masternodes with BTCD.

Hmm but then this rich list is incorrect..?

you might wanna think about your question a bit before posting...

the richlist works, it shows the amount of btcd in each address. the thing is your wallet can cointain multiple adresses.

That mean top ten addresses can belong to the same person. if you want to show the correct balance in one address just resend everything you have to the address you want.

So tired of fucking w shitcoins.

Why, after 460 pages, do I have to even guess what dependencies I'm missing to build BTCD.

Also, why isn't there a binary ffs?

Try the first post. Helps if you mention your OS and errors. It's usually pretty obvious what deps your missing as it'll say it can't find such and such.

To get the basic qt wallet running on a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04.1:

1) Ctrl+Alt+T to open terminal

2) sudo apt-get update

3) sudo apt-get install curl

4) sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev

5) sudo apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools \
    build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
    libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
    libssl-dev libdb++-dev

6) sudo apt-get install git

7) git clone https://github.com/laowais/bitcoindark

8.) cd bitcoindark

9) qmake "USE_UPNP=-"

10) make -j 3 -f Makefile

You should be good to launch the client now if there were no major errors along the way.

11) go to bitcoindark folder and double-click bitcoindark-qt.exe to launch client

12) go to home folder and press Ctrl+H to show hidden files

13) open hidden .Bitcoindark folder in order to access your wallet.dat file

14) create new text file within hidden .Bitcoindark folder and rename it to BitcoinDark.conf

15) copy/paste configuration file from bitcointalk OP into this text file

16) change "user" and "pass" in BitcoinDark.conf file to something unique and save it

It is very difficult to synchronize with BTCD!
My PC was crashed while BTCD is staking.I restarted the computer and found some BTCD lost.
I decided to reinstalled BTCD: delete all files and folders except my wallet, excute BitcoinDark with old .conf file but it can't synchronize with the network: 0 active connections.
I tried with the new version of BTCD and the OP conf. but it still not work.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
