Nearly everybody who is in the market for some time now has lost money in it. In germany we say "Lehrgeld" ("education-money") ;-) What I mean with that: It's still a very young market and even if we lose some money there are good chances that we also see the good opportunities early and make it more than just back. In 20 years we will have a lot of good stories about this wild-west-market ;-)

Darn right we will! Just think of the stories the Bitcoin early-adopters will be bending ears with in 2020, when "blockchain" is mainstreamed.

"Lehrgeld" is a good way of thinking about it. It dovetails with the old-fashioned English term "the school of hard knocks."

Is it me or did someone just give me 600 BTCD? Its almost like it was "Dark'd" into my wallet as there was no trail to it being sent whatsoever. I'm not complaining just wondering if there is something wrong with my wallet; everything about my wallet seems fine I'm staking and it isn't randomly crashing.

I think your wallet turned to POL (Proof Of Luck)  Grin

Just check the balance of your addresses in the block explorer. If you have the 600 there, you are lucky.

I guess so... Before I obtained the random 600 BTCD I was already in the top 100  Grin so just more for me to stake baby  Smiley Are the devs still taking donations? I might donate again to give back small amount of my new windfall.

errrrrmm... what again did you do in order to make those 600BTCD materialize in your wallet?

I mean, what exactly?? Every detail counts- did your cat behave strange or differently than usual? Did you notice any unexplicable lights or sounds?? Anything in your diet?

Think! Please, anything may help!!   Cheesy

Cryptsy officially died.
They sent me an email some hours ago including a URL for refunds.
They said they had an attack and had btc stolen. (yeah)

EDIT: they say in cryptsy chat the email has not been sent by cryptsy. It was sent by attackers and is a phishing one.
it is also written in their twitter account. DO NOT CLICK any links sent to you from cryptsy by email

More "Tales From the Cryptsy" I see. I'm wishing this would just go ahead and end horribly so we can all go about our business. Albeit negative, Cryptsy is receiving far too much undeserving pub over the last few weeks.

I feel for anyone who has been burned or will be burned with this never ending saga, but there has been a plethora of red flags over the last couple years. Guess that's the only way to learn sometimes.

Take care BTCDers Smiley

I strongly believe the attack was fake and the phishing email was sent by cryptsy just to show us they didn't steal the coins themselves.

Week 33: 12.3 BTCD have been paid to 585 unique BitcoinDark addresses for successfully staking blocks 895554-906324

Thanks for staking and supporting the BitcoinDark network.  Lower payout this week due to some changes to some MMBTCD investments but after the changes we should see higher returns.
