Do you suggest to withdrawal the BTCDs from the exchange before the swap?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Do you suggest to withdrawal the BTCDs from the exchange before the swap?

Yes, if you want to also get the revenue asset you should keep your BTCD in a local wallet. We will take a snapshot before the swap begins.

I have also tried to install this wallet and spent many days to do it during the course of the last 6 weeks. But nothing works. I never had any problem to install other qt wallets and the frustration with this wallet is driving me mad.
I made the mistake to buy BTCD on NXT AE and sent them a few weeks ago to the wallet I installed on my computer. As the wallet gave me a receiving address I have sent some BTCD to this address but always get a message: wallet "out of sync". So I fear those BTCD might be lost if I can't get this wallet running and get the private key.
Now I see that some helpful souls are giving some help to people but I am hopeless with technical stuff. For instance I would like to add nodes to BitcoinDark.conf, but don't find where BitcoinDark.conf is located on my computer. I have "BitcoinDark-QT-auto-conf" and when I click on it I have: "BitcoinDark-qt...", so where am I suppose to add the nodes?
Thanks for answering.

you have to search for the following folder (don't know the exact path)
"c:/user/appdata/roaming/bitcoindark"
there you should find the file BitcoinDark.conf
Add the nodes in this file and restart your wallet.

and
nothing is lost as long as you made a backup of your wallet.dat Smiley
