Hello there, I cannot open the wallet anymore, I get EXCEPTION: St13runtime_error [...] error opening database enviroment Corruption 237 missing files.

what to do? Thank you.

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

That happened to me a while back.
I can't remember how I fixed it but I have a suspicion it involved deleting everything (except the wallet) and reinstalling. Sorry.

Your wallet.dat is fucked but not your private key. Close the QT, Load the daemon (not the qt) and use the client to dump your private key. Backup your wallet.dat, delete it from app data, close and reopen the daemon, import the private key to the new wallet, close the daemon, reopen the QT.
open the bitcoindarkd in a cmd prompt. It will just give you a black screen. leave that open and open another cmd, and execute the commands as c:\path\to\bitcoindark\bitcoindarkd.exe <command>
Dump key - dumpprivkey "public address"
Import key - importprivkey "private key" "name it something" true
This is why i now keep backups of the files AND a plain text of private keys in an encrypted database (keypass).
Hope this gets you saved OP.

Did anyone try to do basic calculations on what REVs might be worth? Could be a very profitable asset if everything goes spinning as expected.

It took me many weeks to have a wallet sync but now I have it at last.

Now if anyone could help me out on getting the private key.

I went into the console and put the command:
dumpprivkey <Put my BTCD address here>

and I get the response:
Error: Wallet is unlocked for staking only. (code -13)

How do you get you get your private key in BTCD wallet?

I have also tried to install this wallet and spent many days to do it during the course of the last 6 weeks. But nothing works. I never had any problem to install other qt wallets and the frustration with this wallet is driving me mad.
I made the mistake to buy BTCD on NXT AE and sent them a few weeks ago to the wallet I installed on my computer. As the wallet gave me a receiving address I have sent some BTCD to this address but always get a message: wallet "out of sync". So I fear those BTCD might be lost if I can't get this wallet running and get the private key.
Now I see that some helpful souls are giving some help to people but I am hopeless with technical stuff. For instance I would like to add nodes to BitcoinDark.conf, but don't find where BitcoinDark.conf is located on my computer. I have "BitcoinDark-QT-auto-conf" and when I click on it I have: "BitcoinDark-qt...", so where am I suppose to add the nodes?
Thanks for answering.
you have to search for the following folder (don't know the exact path)
"c:/user/appdata/roaming/bitcoindark"
there you should find the file BitcoinDark.conf
Add the nodes in this file and restart your wallet.

and
nothing is lost as long as you made a backup of your wallet.dat Smiley

Thanks for your help.
I was able to get the wallet running and luckily found the coins I sent some 2 months ago.
I still think that mass adoptions for the coins will be difficult if there's not an easiest way to download the wallet.

Alright Thanks, I didn't see there was such a box before as I left the wallet always open.
So it was almost going to work but now I am facing another issue and get the following message:

Invalid BitcoinDark address (code -5)

I don't know how it could be invalid as it's the only address I have ever used. And I just pasted it between the quotation marks.

Don't know if it makes a difference, but I usually don't use quotation marks with that command, just:
dumpprivkey addressgoeshere
