Buying Bitcoins to Fund 5Dimes Sportsbook Account?

Questions about bitcoins and appreciate if anyone here can answer it and would love if anyone here used bitcoin to deposit into a sportsbook like 5dimes.


Anyone able to buy a few thousand at least or have that amount of Bitcoin and then deposited no problem?


5dimes recently allowing users to deposit with bitcoins.  Can someone tell me how i do this?


1.  What about be the best way to buy bitcoins? Is it through coinbase?  And if so, how do you pay by? So i see 1 bitcoin is worth $636.13 now. If I want around $3000 or a bit more, i go and buy 5 bitcoins correct? 5 Bitcoins would be worth $3180.65 but how much fees do i have to pay? I assume credit card is what most ppl use to pay for it?  Im confused b/c i did read something that credit card and paypal is not allowed b/c it can be charged back.  If thats the case, then what is the preferred payment?  I have credit card, paypal, bank of america transfer.

Then i turned that amount into $5180.65 and want to cashout. I would withdraw to my bitcoin balance and it would be converted to whatever bitcoin its worth at the current price? And the only fees i pay is if i sell the bitcoins but if i want to use those bitcoins and deposit into another site theres no cost? And what are the fees for selling bitcoins?


4.  Can you buy bitcoins in fractions of bitcoin? I know you can buy 1 bitcoin, 2 bitcoin etc but can you buy 2.5, 2.2, 2.08 etc or is it only flat 1 or 2 etc or 2.2 bitcoin thus 1 decimal only?


5.  I also read ppl buying bitcoins from other ppl. Is that b/c it costs less but the risk is higher? Yet i do read once you receive bitcoin from someone, its not reverseable right?



From what i read, there isn't any limit to the amount of money you could deposit into 5dimes such as no max when depositing via bitcoins.  Has anyone bought bitcoins and used it specifically for 5dimes and can tell me how this works?

I haven't yet used Bitcoins in conjunction with 5Dimes, so I cannot give you my experiences there. However, I can help you with your general Bitcoin inquiries.

1. If you are in America, from what I've heard the best option is Coinbase. You can either deposit to them via bank transfer or credit card (although they do require verification). From there once you have deposited your fiat you can then convert it into Bitcoins and withdraw them to your address. Credit cards and paypal are generally frowned upon by individual traders (ie. from me to you) because of chargebacks, but companies like Coinbase are more willing to take the risk (also there is less risk for them given that they have worked it all out with the banks anyway).

2. Bitcoin transaction fees are simply a fee you require to send coins between addresses. These fees are at the moment BTC0.0001 which is like 6c or so. When you talk about the 'first million' being free - you are referring to what Coinbase charges to its merchants, which is irrelevant to you as you are not signing up to them as a merchant.

4. You can buy up to an eighth decimal place. It is one satoshi or BTC0.00000001

5. It will probably cost you about the same - it's easier for you with Coinbase. Go with that and if for some reason you can't get enough with the limits you have on Coinbase explore other options like localbitcoins. But please, make sure you do some reading first - most of this information can be found on the Bitcoin Wiki (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page).

Hey, that site 5dimes is very very safe.  Im not worried about that at all.  If you google top sportsbetting sites, 5dimes has been around for a very very long time... they are not shady.  They always payout unless you do shady stuff.  I used 5dimes for many years already with zero issues.  The big issue for me is getting funds there well bigger amounts.


If i buy 5 bitcoin for $3100, i will be paying with my bank of america checking account right?  Would it be an echeck?  Would they receive payment right away and how long would it take for me to receive the bitcoins in my bitcoin wallet?


I want to transfer all the bitcoins into 5dimes so i could use it.  Im not concerned about safety of my funds in 5dimes.

The fee they are talking about is the fee to purchasing the bitcoins, thats a coinbase charge is what someone gets for selling you bitcoins, and i dont know the exactly amount of time you can get your bitcoins buying them via bank of america but that will be probably around 3 days.

The fee they are talking about is the fee to purchasing the bitcoins, thats a coinbase charge is what someone gets for selling you bitcoins, and i dont know the exactly amount of time you can get your bitcoins buying them via bank of america but that will be probably around 3 days.

Someone who created a coinbase account and bought 0.10 bitcoin worth $63 tells me this since i asked i wanted to buy around $3000 worth of BTC to deposit into 5dimes

So the coinbase fee of 1 percent i have to pay no matter what site i use correct?  If i buy bitcoin from another user, i assume there would be no 1 percent fee but of course make sure that user is legit?  Does it cost them money to transfer me bitcoin or me receive bitcoin from them as oppose to buying it from coinbase?

Answer to your no.1 , A lot people don accept paypal or anything related to credit card it will cost you hard time and high fees . Try use bank transfer to local theres a site localbitcoin they do escrow and advertise .

Very true, due to the potential chargeback, it is very difficult for you to buy bitcoin with paypal or credit card.
You can find traders around you on localbitcoins and buy bitcoin from them, or buy bitcoin on an exchange after verifying your identity.

Coinbase is going to be your cheapest route. Everyone on the forum will want 5% for their time plus you risk the chance of getting scammed.

Is there a limit to how much i could buy since im a new user to coinbase?  I read i could only buy up to $100 up so?  And i can't buy more than 1000 dollars max until a few weeks?
