But if i want a BFLproduct i'll get slammed with 13%+? Fuck that....

Reminds me of when i bought an EHDD and they tried to slap a $78 fee on it for a "consield electrical component worth more than the declaired value"

Uhh no US customs, That was a $200 CASE with a broken HDD in it.

So i just fucking Left it there to Rot. i aint paying $140 for a $19 EHDD case

As a commercial company they have to declare the value on the invoice and if the customs officer does his job that day which sometimes they don't then you will be charged the tax applicable in your province plus the brokerage fees to get it, otherwise if not doing their job it will just get delivered at your door no extra charges.

Seems to depend on who is  your shipper. UPS is CRIMINAL when shipping into Canada from the US. Conversely, I have NEVER been charged ANYTHING when receiving something from the US via USPS.
Agreed, the part the Government takes is nothing compared to the "brokerage fee", but it is much more faster than USPS/Canada Post.  Too bad there are no resellers for BFL in Canada.

This is helpful for figuring out the total cost of some things: http://www.thefinalcost.com/

This is a bit of a scam... I called UPS to complain about it once, and they told me $20 of it was a COD fee to collect the duty/taxes at the door. You can apparently set up an account with them so they can bill your account instead of at the door... but I just decided I'de never use UPS again.
