I found this, but it doesn't look like Windows:

Does Namecoins have a windows client? & Anyone know if mining is still in it's "first few days?"
~ When did they start?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Difficulty is still 512, it is easy to mine many blocks a day with a decent GPU.

No sense in hoarding blocks however, they expire as far as I know?

I was pretty interested in the Namecoin premise and wanted to spend a night with my miners pointed at it but I could quite figure it out.
I had everything downloaded and running but it never seemed to 'update' and my miner kept yelling at me that it couldn't find the server ( I set it up the same as when I first started solo bitcoin mining).

Maybe I'll take another look at it
