There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Good morning all -

I think it's great how dedicated the I/O team is - to the coin, the crypto community, and to helping
people in need. I just finished up an article about some charitable good-deed-doing the devs were
doing before the coin even launched. Check it out:

http://bitcoinmafia.com/bittys-blog/io-coin-doing-its-part-for-charity/

Feedback always welcome, of course Smiley

Nice article, sums things up nicely

Cool little article

It's weird that the checks are dated June 30, 2014.  That's before the coin even started.  Is that possible?

Not as weird as the 123456789 routing number lol

Granted the phony oversized check might not be real but i've read it is common for them to be casheable and having real routing numbers on them too.

Also this is really fishy

http://fotoforensics.com/analysis.php?id=39fb79a51200154e4d555443b7aa9e924ce3a2bd.50201

If the dev had a phone to capture a screenshot of the news program why didn't he record the video of the news story? If a Congressional candidate is behind it surely he could have a copy of the video published somewhere on his website. You'd also think he'd make a mention on his Facebook page, people running for Congress love this kind of publicity

https://www.facebook.com/LorenzoPalomaresStarbuck

Also if he is running for Congress and is in support of digital currencies why no mention of Bitcoin or crypto anywhere in his platform or manifesto on his website?

http://lorenzopalomares.com/

Finally some things look off about the photos

Also is it common for a Congressional candidate to get on TV in the middle of a street corner and shove a giant check in a reporters face? Isn't there usually some ceremony for these kinds of things and donating to the family or representatives of the victims? Also notice how the signature on both checks is exactly 1:1 copy and even starting in the same spot on the line yet no one ever writes their signature 100% the same everytime.

If the dev is running a con this is a new low in crypto. I'll reserve judgement for now but there is alot of red flags IMO.
