What happened::
Posted thread to purchase 6 Antminer S1's -
Member replied via PM, advising they had units available @ my price. Payment completed via Paypal.

We completed transaction, over the next few days seller continually avoided requests for shipping information advising that they were at work or busy. On Saturday 7/12 seller finally advised shipping was completed.
On Monday 7/15 seller advised that package should be received on that day. Still avoided requests for shipping information (sent via PM/Email/Phone call).

Just remembered I setup UPS Mychoice to track packages for my Antminer S3 purchase from Bitmain.

Seller claims it was being shipped via UPS, system shows no packages set to arrive at my home.

I wish you good luck, but at least you did not paid via bitcoins etc , i am sure you will win the claim since he can not show any tracking number the only issue is IF he have allready used the money his paypal will be in the red but they will not refund you till he have money inside but maybe you can try buyer protection ?

No, in this case paypal would still reimburse him but make the scammer's balance go into the red (basically paypal takes the hit)

I paid for 6 s1s from him with paypal and credit card, they are supposed to be here today. i'm assuming they will not arrive. I already opened a paypal dispute. if they actually do arrive I will update page.

I paid with credit card so I should get my money back.

not sure if this is the guy's real name, his paypal is "verified" so maybe that means that is actually his name

Most likely the same person.

He wouldn't send first to trusted members and avoided escrow several times, used the same accuse as all the other scammers. That should have been a red flag.

If anyone is near zipcode 33860 and would like to come stop by and check it out I would be willing to set up something to met.

Otherwise,  this thread had turned into a bunch of non sense.
For escrow, I'm only using ebay since I'm dealing with paypal

Next time do some research before calling someone's parole officer a bunch of times. She may take calls like this less seriously in the future now.

maybe they are the same person? who knows.

btw I called 3 times over several hours so "a bunch of times" was an exaggeration

Just do a paypal dispute and wait - you will get your money back for a non-received item - why spend money on private detectives?

Put it down to experience - flag his name/id in scam accusations (as you have done). But be careful posting all kinds of phone numbers and email addresses - might mean you incriminate an innocent bystander - then you'll feel bad.

is stealing and scamming from people on the internet, selling things to people and never sending, stealing or scamming money from people through various internet scams.

there is extensive evidence of this here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=697118.0

all your information is in that thread as well, a detective from polk ct. sherrif department is taking up the case.

if you're a relative of kenneth bell please put pressure on him to return all stolen money immediately.

Hello all, I am in the exact same situation.  I basically had the exact conversation with SENIORMEMBER that the o.p posted except mine was through p.m.  I gave him two payments, one for 725.00 for 7 antminers and the other for 453.45 for 4 antminers.  I am in the process of opening a dispute/claim with paypal and really hope they will give me my money back since we are all filing claims against this same person.  I payed through paypal but used a bank account and not a credit card, I hope that isn't going to be an issue.  If you need any information (full conversation, screenshots, etc.) just let me know, I will post it up.  But the op conversation is basically the exact convo I had with him.

ps: call paypal customer service directly and they will immediately escalate to a claim, then you will only have to wait 11 days to get your money back.

I am guessing he needed money to pay bills or something so he needed quick cash.  He wanted to use paypal over btc which I thought was odd.

Comparing PayPal to escrow? Has to be joking.

Hopefully. They usually side with buyers, so you should be okay.

meaning, as a buyer, we are pretty well protected from scams while using Paypal.  And that is really what an escrow service is out to prevent. So yes, I considered paying through paypal equal to using an escrow service.  It's is sort of hard to use ognasty or someone to escrow money that is in a bank account, they usually escrow btc am I wrong?

Why would anyone send over $1000 to someone who has no reputation here? This is all pretty ridiculous.

To respond I also have no rep. Built up. I have done a couple deals, using escrow, that were fine there just hasn't been feedback left and I am completely trustworthy.  I would have never not used an escrow with pretty much any amount of money, and was mainly only comfortable with it because I was sending through PayPal with their buyer protection. As far as I know, there is no way to use an escrow service if you are paying through PayPal is there?

hes comes back as working for "grannys trunk inc" in Lakeland fl. # is disconnected. no longer in business

He mentioned working at a machine shop, no idea if it's true or not. He didn't come out and say he worked at a machine shop, but he mentioned having to load the machine to run material and what they were making. Probly lies but just something to go off of.

me ?

of course lol for many reasons.

your account is brand new from yesterday

7/16

you are going into the same types of threads as him

btc loaning threads (trying to loan(scam) with a brand new account)

you are on the same times as him

early early mornings

and why would a brand new user, happen into this thread (there are thousands) and ask the op if he has any updates, why would someone brand new give a shit at all, much less this specific thread.

Your responses are also similar to the people calling you a scammer in the btc loan threads as I have seen in other threads with accusations.

No need for you to respond, sorry all your eggs were in the football basket and they didn't hatch.
