Dear bitcointalk users,
Very little of you know me, but most of the Bulgarian miners do and they know I am not a scammer.

I want to help a girl who has AML with this webpage:
www.bitcoinsaves.org

but TRUST will be the main issue!

I have managed to collect some funds in fait but only from people who know me and it is not enough.
I am trying to contact one of the organizations or exchanges to host the wallets as a guarantee that I am not going to runaway with them.
Here there are news about her on TV and some information agencies, also all her friends are sharing on facebook.

But I am certain that almost no one will believe me!!! Sad

So please help me with information what would make a donation campaign more legitimate.
My biggest concern is that we need to act fast, as you can see I made the page a few days ago, and it is not even 100% complete.

P.S. As it comes clear to me I will post any information (answers to questions) as proof here and probably make another thread too.
And even if I am a scam would it hurt you to give 0,01 BTC???

Have you considered working with an organization that's involved with her illness or patient care?  A hospital, an AML association, the Red Cross, etc.?  A trusted organization that can put up a web page about her and appeal for financial help for her?

In the present case I want to help a girl I know so it is personal, but I want to continue developing this webpage.
Her father has contacted all sorts of agencies hospitals etc. and is doing a great job collecting close to 1/2 the needed money.

I think that BTC offers the fastest easiest to donate a small amount to someone even if hes in another country.
But again there is the problem with trust!

The CROWDFunding idea is very good, I will try that.

Does anyone have any suggestions maybe some organizations from this list can help.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Donation-accepting_organizations_and_projects

How can I get into this list, as I sad I push this idea for the long run.

You could also try reddit.com. They're great at raising money for good causes. All you need is enough proof that your charity is legit. The best of luck!

You're right with the first sentence. Unfortunately there's far too many charity scammers taking advantage of people's good nature around here. The only thing you can do is provide as much information as possible to prove that this is a legit deal, though that is probably vvery hard to do and usually any charity threads that pop up around here are treated as begging and quickly removed.

kingpin, the problem with these charity plea's is that you need to:
1. prove the person has the problem
2. prove your physically linked to the cause. and not just a google info grabber
3. don't use a pre-distributed facebook photo that anyone can grab, use fresh uptodate different photos
4. maybe have the girl do a video plea holding a QR code
5. explain the money side of things as most europeans know about the EU free healthcare system (research: EU Cross Border Healthcare Directive)

not saying this is a scam but 1-5 is easy to achieve if real plea

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Thank you for the points franky1
I have actually given thought on them too:

1. I have posted a copy of the medical history of Natalia (I only have it in Bulgarian for now), and a few links in Bulgarian media that I think act as proof.
2.+3.+4. Good ideas, but I don't know how to exactly, I only have pictures of me and her, maybe a video can be done for point 2 and 4. Friends are making some video but she is now in hospital, so idk how for now.
5. I guess most people think that the healthcare system in the EU is free but its actually not, not everything is free. And for us living in the shithole of Europe in Bulgaria everything that is free kills you.
But yes some information about the hospital in Germany is a good idea.

She is going under chemotherapy now a second one, with some knockoff drugs and we are hoping she'd go in remission and manage to send her to Germany for a transplant.
Here the survival rate is 15% or less in Germany its above 70% and for young people even more)
