Whenever I come to Announcements forum I find it extremely difficult to find topics for those coins that are yet to be released, as they are flooded by hundreds of topics for already released coins. Adding [UNR], [TBR] or even better release date tag would solve this problem.

Some coins have two threads, a [PRE-ANN] for the pre-launch announcement and an [ANN] thread for when the coin is actually released.

Yes, but only some coins have that.

Other useful solution would be to allow sorting threads by start date.

[ANN] and [PRE-ANN] tags aren't standard forum tags though. Thread starters affix that to the thread title on their own. If you think about it, the tags are completely unnecessary to begin with since the sub-forum is called "Announcements (Altcoins)." If you want to have a different tag for different threads, then you should contact the thread starters themselves. Also, enforcing tags on a sub-forum that many trusted members of the community avoid is a wasteful use of the staff's time.

I guess this topic could better fit the altcoin section of these forums. Also, let's not make it easier to make a copycoin.
