How do people get addresses wrong? I presume nobody ever types them out. You have a Bitcoin address in your clipboard from a payment you made earlier, you try to copy another address but didn't press the key hard enough so when you paste it you paste the wrong address. Always triple check addresses before sending

Always triple check addresses before sending Triple check is a must lol. Sometimes I'm just in a rush. I'll have one on my keyboard, paste, and want to click send. But then I tell myself to double check that the address I pasted IS the address of the person I want to send to.

Be careful OP, it sounds like you'll lose more in the future unless you figure out where your compromise is.

But for some people, they simply don't handle it carefully enough. Check http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/273vi2/if_you_just_received_800_bitcoin_out_of_the_blue to see a person sending 800btc to the wrong address (which turns out to a mtgox address) in early Jun, but luckily he received his bitcoin back a month later.

Go to backup&reset and click reset phone and reset everything. I wouldn't recommend you to use a phone as a storage as you may get infected easily and you may also lose it. Try using a offline computer to generate a Bitcoin address.

OP, good idea to reset the phone but how do you think you may have been compromised? Is it rooted? Did you sideload any apps or install any from outside the play store? Did the phone every go to websites you didn't ask it to? What version of android were you on? It's important to get to the bottom of these compromises because they could lead to significant losses for someone else.

Yep. This kind of thing happens all too often. People be careful when you press send! My personal favorite: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135665.0111BTC sent as a transaction fee... incredibly lucky to get it back, he was so lucky it was a known pool who got it let alone an honest one.

I doubt anyone would send you a free 30BTC, they are not suited to use BTC if they don't even double check the address. OP had his BTC stolen later on so I doubt you want this to happen to you.
