They used their message scrambler software to make it look like it came from China , so that if you intercepted it you would not find out how to get the Bitcoins ! OP , please open it and share some of the Bitcoins with us ? |

If they send out the mail to 1000 bitcoin users they will surely get at least 10-50 users who might download it. I hope OP reported that mail to Gmail as Phishing mail and blocked that particular mailing address. I don't think they would get over 10 users to be honest. It's a silly attempt and most Bitcoin users are aware of phishing attempts and know that you should never download anything from a unknown source. |

It's amazing how many smart people fall for that one (or similar) - the thought of porn and a reasonable explanation for why they are receiving it makes a lot of people lose their wits and run the file. Which should, btw, contain porn so they don't suspect they've been had for some time.
It took me at least a week to figure out where that damn virus came from.
