http://techcrunch.com/2014/07/19/blockchain-releases-new-android-wallet-app-to-put-bitcoin-into-everyones-hands/

Popular bitcoin wallet provider Blockchain.info is releasing a major new version of its Android app, allowing you to store, receive and send bitcoins directly from your Android phone. The key thinking behind the update is to make bitcoin more accessible. It hides the complexity of the protocol in order to encourage mainstream user adoption.

I downloaded the new version and I don't like it. The app used to be fairly simple. Now it is more complicated and hard to use.

The author obviously didn't even try it.

How is it different from the iphone one? I found it very simple and easy to use and there's nothing wrong with it.

I prefer the earlier version, which just has a balance and a list of transactions, and has a simpler send and receive interface.

Already posted there.

I've not tried the new app but there was nothing wrong with the old one so if it isn't broke don't fix it, though I'm always open to new features.

There is a nice selection of payment apps for people to choose from now. I sent bit coin for the first time with my iPhone last week through the coin base app. It was actually easier than sending it from my Mac.
