I'm working on a historic market depth chart.

Here's one for mtgox:

This is work-in-progress and will change frequently until I figured out how such a chart should look. Any suggestions? Smiley

I like it, but it's very hard to see, and some of the numbers are cut off.

That's a fantastic visualization. What is the left-hand axis? Time, I suppose, but it wouldn't hurt to label the axes.

Great, thanks!

Ditto on labeling the axes.

The left side are unix timestamps, starting at 1304300000 which is Mon, 02 May 2011 01:33:20 GMT.

The majority of what we see in this view are asking prices between $4.00 and $6.00.  The cliffside represents a drop in asks at those prices since May 2.

Would love to see this going back further in dates, on a longer time scale!

That's awesome. Will it ever be something that we can manipulate in 3D? Perhaps that could be done with Flash?
