can we please get rid of this user?
I think it would probably be better to make it so the link to bitcoin fog cannot be changed. This is very important because TOR links are by nature hard to remember and most users would probably not think twice when clicking on any TOR link they have not clicked on previously.

How do we know which tor link is legit? Maybe user "Dull" is putting the fake one? Or maybe both... Sgornick reviewed it a while back, and that had yet a different tor link than both of these :|

For now, I've just removed the tor link entirely. When/if the website clarifies the correct one, we can put it up.

Dull and Oevalut continued fighting over which link is to be put up after you took it down.
And then after I took it down, admittedly.

Sonny (who started the page) put http://fogcore5n3ov3tui.onion/ as the tor link in november 2011. The link was unchanged until july 2014.
I don't think the link even works any longer; I can't connect to it.

Is there a reasonable way to resolve this without participating in an edit war?

I'm going to give both of them a 3-day ban with a link here in hopes the honest one comes to explain the situation.

http://www.bitcoinfog.com/

Gives the following URL:
http://fogcore5n3ov3tui.onion/

I can connect to it.

Is the owner's online handle known? perhaps he can provide a signed message to confirm the URL.

EDIT: there is a PGP key here: http://fogcore5n3ov3tui.onion/static/bitcoinfog-PGP-public-key.txt
Also claims this is the official thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50037.0 showing same onion URL.

I have private messages disabled. Send me an email instead. My contact details can be found here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither party in the edit war was putting that onion URI I think?
I guess maybe they could both be scammers :/

You're not wrong. It looks like they are both scammers.

The page currently links to bitcoinfog.org, also a fake site it seems...

From what I can tell, the announcement link which links to the bitcointalk thread hasn't been changed yet.

The URL was put there only by Sonny when the page was first created.
It looks like they both in fact are scammers, fighting over the same link.
I guess we'll see if they post anything in their defense? It's possible one of them was in good faith. I haven't checked the URL destinations.

I've corrected the links. Please double check that I didn't get anything wrong.
