Since the most common question is about where to get a stable version for the respective operating systems and distributions, I thought it might be a good idea to start collecting a number of repositories into a reference thread.

My nightly builds from SVN (not stable, but always up to date) are on the openSuse Build Service (https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=bitcoind&project=home:cdecker). Just add the respective line (the one that matches your OS) to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
Quote
After an "apt-get update" you should be able to install bitcoind (the headless daemon).

Please list your builds and their specialities (patch level, revision, ...)

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

This should be moved to the development & technical discussion forum.

I would like to see CentOS and ArchLinux binary packages. CentOS is a real PITA, so an RPM will be very helpful.
On Arch Linux the official binaries seem to work, but having a pacman package is always better.
