As the crypto-currency Bitcoin continues to weather controversy, entrepreneurs are hoping that the use of Bitcoins will gain a foothold in the online gambling industry. On the heels of  a scandal that continues to shake the struggling digital currency, one important e-commerce company has banned Bitcoin, and a U.S. court has stopped the sale of a major Bitcoin trading site. Though shaken, enthusiasts and business people still hope that Bitcoin can find a home in online gaming.

I think it's already gained a foothold in the gambling industry. Just look how well some of these bitcoin casinos and dice games are doing and they will only get stronger and bigger over time. Bitcoin just makes sense to be used in this industry for many reasons. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we get some big betting sites like William Hill etc using it because the cheap fees really benefit them.

This is a poorly written hit piece and close to total garbage:
"...While the online gambling industry may be Bitcoin’s savior, there is also the chance for online gambling to force Bitcoin into a niche, keeping it out of the mainstream."

The MtGox collapse is very old news. Where does the article mention Dish Network, the Bud Summer Concerts Series BTC giveaway, the large increase in VC $$$, the MIT experiment or any other of this years great news?
