I sent 0.0024163 BTC to Shapeshift. https://blockchain.info/tx/1ce987dd59890b046a677e9d99f080a2756b518ce5bea15fbca1e7bbb04c42e3My send doesn't go through within 5 minutes so Shapeshift sends me a refund. The refund is 0.0011663 BTC and the fee Shapeshift paid for the txid is 0.000678. https://blockchain.info/tx/af2559a9d855f63ea65aeb78eb0209dcd0b1d1745a36f91402f6db12f48e2a3bMy send - (their send+BTC fee) = Less than my send .0024163-(.0011663-.000678)= 0.001928 So basically Shapeshift ate a few bucks from me.  I got a real problem with paying "miner fees" that don't actually going to miners... It reminds me of court case I saw where people were paying a "environmental fee" that wasn't actually going to the environment . I'd like my coins back please to the original return address. |

I hope that they only have a lot of tickets and will eventually answer..
I sent LTC and Shapeshift coulnd't complete the tx with 3rd party.. So in their FAQ it says to contact them for a refund..
I'm still waiting.. no answer yet..

I have used shapeshift many times in the past with no issues, but have not tried to use them in the last couple of weeks with all of the network issues. However, it appears there are many issues due to transactions not going through within the allotted time frame they use. I would personally stay away for now until we can get some answers. There are a lot of folks having issues with them right now. It seems that small transactions are ok but larger ones get stuck frequently leaving the sender/receiver in limbo. It seems to take too long for ShapeShift to resolve tickets. Why the need for tickets? Well they are opened because transactions were not completed. |

I got extremely bad first experience with Shapeshift. "Automatic" exchange failed, i have opened ticket 128058.
Two days passed and no any reply. All my plans are wasted. If Shapeshift want to continue to work in cryptocurrency they have to resolve issues much faster.
Courses are changed every hour (minute), slow support is totally unacceptable.

ShapeShift does turn over hundreds of millions of dollars worth of crypto per annum so surely they can afford to provide a better standard of customer services. Even though they make a small percentage of profit per transaction, it adds up to be plenty. |
