Apparently they are in discussions with several exchanges for them to list STR and become gateways. It will be interesting to see what price these things trade at when they do get added to an exchange. |

You aren't forced to use Facebook.
You have to use it only if you want the 5000 stellar.
The other option is to use the account of someone else (a friend), and then send them to your account. (without any facebook login)

Coinex have become the first Stellar gateway, complete with interest payments on USD and NZD balances! https://www.coinex.co.nz/They have been a Ripple gateway for a while and I have used them - they are pretty good. |

Actually, there are still NOT available methods to make unique digital IDs without trusting a third party. So they are using Facebook to spread as best as they can Stellars to the community. |
