i was here few minutes after ninja pos and add to calender(lol why even add after it launched) and it was over 300 blocks

Working on getting a block explorer up so we can all see where first blocks went.
If you get working block explorer, showing up transaction, then the promise of the zipcoin (not showing the transaction) is just ... . Not right?

So is this just another coin with TOR integration, or is there something more to it?

NO PREMINE!!

Nope, just a 200,000+ instamine.

FUD is being spread like crazy around this coin. What makes you think he has 200K Coins?

First member to compile and post the wallet was the 4th post in the thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=721306.msg8147359#msg8147359

At that point 223 blocks had already been mined with a reward of 1,000 coins each...do the math.

For reference, I had the wallet compiled and running at block 154. I'm sure many had it up and running faster than I did though.

Yes, clearly I have - I run a pool, and it is mining ZIP just fine.

Block explorer:
http://explorer.zip.altpooler.com/

If there are any problems with it, let me know.

From what I'm seeing, it appears that staking is already taking place.

Dev, the OP says POS after 10081, can you comment on this?

First 52 blocks mined by this address:

OP timestamp:

Block 1 mined at:

I don't see a premine or instamine here.

Yes, clearly I have - I run a pool, and it is mining ZIP just fine.

The code from github compiled without any problems? Strange. What OS?

I have compiled it, but definitely had to do some monkey things..

I didn't see any missing files, or anything especially unusual with the compilation process. (Many coins require a few steps to successfully compile, like: mkdir obj, chmod'ing leveldb/build_detect_platform to have execute permissions, occasionally you'll need to remove *.o files and running make again, etc.)

Possible you already had the TOR files installed?

I had to apt-get some TOR stuff to compile this

Yeap, you re right. No missng files. libleveldb.a and libmemenv.a could not be compiled but I was lazy enough to do any research about it. I just took those files from another coin. chmod'ing leveldb/build_detect_platform most probably would do the trick.

See you again here.
