I've been mining for years. Thought is was about time I posted a little something. Here's my current rig. 6 - S7's overclocked total avg. 30.40 Ths Total system pulls 62.3 amps Rig dumps exhaust into my forced air return duct. Currently in my area I have my power flat rate power for the next 1 1/2 years. Total electric for the entire house is $450 a month. Because of the flat rate, I can run the miners and the A/C at the same time and during the winter they keep my house around 70 deg.
i like the server rack idea. with them blowing right into the return do you hear any noise leaking into the rest of the house?

The rack is stored in the basement with the HVAC equipment. The noise level in the basement could be better, but not really that bad. I could sound proof the room there in, if need be. In the rest of the house, the only sound we here is from the HVAC fan that has to run non-stop. The biggest problem I've had so far, is the miners really dry out the air. So I had to disconnect the HVAC humidifier because it won't stop running.

What settings do you have on your overclocked S7's? Each miner is a little different. All are batch 2 and clock speeds range from 625 to 675. I keep an eye on the errors per day and adjust them accordingly.

My GPU rigs in 19 "design p.s. Strangely, I can not add photos as the pictures, just as a links(( You can't post pictures because your account is too young. Anyhow what are we looking at here? ETH mining, LTC mining, other coins? How many hashes? Power consumption? ... etc. etc. Regards one4many P.S.: The annoying banners over the pictures are really ugly (and I guess unnecessary).

Power consumption? ... etc. etc. Regards one4many P.S.: The annoying banners over the pictures are really ugly (and I guess unnecessary). Each rig uses two power supplies - one-on-motherboard 350 W and server 2 KW graphics cards for additional power supply. As the ventilation system is installed 3 Delta PFC1212DE. Capacity rig - up to 6 cards, but for comfortable use recommend to put on five. Maximum VRM temperature according GPUZ 63 degrees Celsius, 20 degrees at the outside. They work on an algorithm Etherium, about 160 MH/rig. installation density is almost the maximum for air cooling. This arrangement allows a limited area to place a sufficiently large hashrate (about 1.3 GH / 42U rack). Customers are already working more than 15 such rigs 24/7 for more than 3 months, no problem.

What settings do you have on your overclocked S7's? Is it good to put all miners in a box? Does it lower the temperature inside? I'm thinking of the same setup, but not too sure if the temperature inside will get hotter or cooler. Also, it should be able to reduce the noise level right?

No, it would be a terrible idea to put your miners in a box. But if you were to put them in a proper rack enclosure with the right ventilation then they should run at a good temp. and noise may be reduced depending on how it is vented and cooled.

Simply putting miners in a box is not a good idea at all. But with directed airflow in and out, is drops the over all temp. This restricts hot exhaust from being recirculated.

Thanks guys. I'm actually more concerned about the noise it produces. I have a friend of mine, who nails egg trays on the walls to reduce the noise. Have anyone tried this?

When I was in high school I scooped ice cream and I used to take the big foam panels that the cones came in and staple them to the wall of the sound room my friend and I built to play music in. If you want to deaden the sound then you need to cover every square inch of the walls, maybe ceiling too. But if you are just playing with room acoustics then a few well placed sound absorbers can work wonders.
