Hello everybody!!

I´m new in the mining game, and I want to show my 6 GPUs mining rig´s design, I designed it, I printed it, and I mounted it!! It works fine at 2020 Sol/sec with 6 GTX 1060 6GB.

I designed it in hexagonal pattern to improve the heat dissipation, I hope do you like it!!!

Regards...

man that is a killer looking rig i really like how you made it look cool and not like most other mining cases

I Love this design, very creative.

one question though, why aren't the risers powered?  Huh

If the cards are powered by 6/8 pin plugs and aren't strictly powered by the pcie connector, there shouldn't be a need for the risers to be powered. Seems to be the case here.

I wasn't aware of that, you learn something new every day! thanks  Cool

Hi, the risers aren´t powered because when I finished the assembly I took the photos, and then I connected it to the power.

Regards.

Hows the heat dissipation? I'd expect it to get quite warm as all the heats going into the center

Depends on the graphics cards and the heatsink design. Most of the heat from my graphics cards come out of the top of the card (EVGA 1080gtx) so it might not push as much heat into the center.

You should make it so that it is stackable, so you can put another hexagon on top of it, but alternating where the GPU's stick out.

Hello, you can stack another hexagon in an easy way, but the problem will be the wiring, you will need so long cables.

Regards.
Not to mention but also the weight on the wall. I would think it would be better to just add another on the wall next to it unless of course you fill up a whole room with one long hexagon... Wink

From 2013 I had two hd 7970. Noise was strong at scrypt mining so I bought accelero extreme 7970. That was my first rig I used.
This year I am updraded to 4 MSI rx480 8gb. I wanted to buy one more RX 480 but in the store I bought the last and no longer.
So I have what I have and I have to be happy with what I have.

My A6 in a spare room in the house, but it's quickly getting too warm to run it inside.  Been running it only at night lately, but even that will stop soon.  I might move it to the garage if I can find a clean way to run the ethernet cable.

A Gekko stick and 6 nanofury sticks, just for fun.

It's not the preferred method but since you seem to be desperate to relocate it (since you're not even running it 24/7) you could use powerline!

WOW ! Nice man.. look at that usb miner.. I wish I have that just for the start.. And the fan too, it's cute man.. Can I ask how much you spend to all of that ? What do you mine ? Bitcoin ? Can I use it for mining other crypto ?

The fan is around $10 and the miner itself was sold for around $30 dollars at release. Nowadays it's selling for $50 but it's a great start if you want a low maintenance and still highly tweakable USB miner. The fan is great, moves a lot of air and is silent. They are made by Arctic and they make the best USB fans I've ever used.

Thanks.  Most of your questions are answered above, I should take an updated pict since I moved my 2nd gekko stick to this little usb nest and have a 2nd fan going, too.  This set-up dust mines bitcoin, but at current prices even dust has value now-a-days.  The A6 quoted above is no longer in use, however.

Excellent build! If you don't mind me asking, what GPU's are you using for this wall setup? I plan to build a new mining rig next month and would also like to create a wall mountable setup.

Also what GH/sec are you getting with that beast?
