Tried to run two 7970's in a HAF XM with the side cover on but the 1st card gets too hot (82C):

Resorted to leaving the side cover off (GPU1 65C, GPU2 71C, 20C ambient):

Temporary setup until I get a custom chassis built.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I can see husbands telling their wives, "honey, its ok, I know it uses a lot of electricity and heats up the whole second floor of the house, but it does make us a little money and makes me happy".

Then you have the teenager or grown man that refuses to leave mommy..."Mom, I know the electrical bill was $945, I'll give you some bitcoin later on this month".

My 4 x 7950 (Sapphire Dual-X OC) mining rig with a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 mobo, 2x650W Cooler Master PSUs and high-power wireless usb adapter (only cause I leave it down in the garage where it's cooler and wi-fi is weak). Does around 2500 kh/s for LTC with cgminer on xubuntu. Boots of USB, no hard drive. The crate was just a plastic crate some restaurant was throwing away. Everything is held together with zip-ties Smiley

My camera (and most other new ones) has that effect too, but it works better when I plug the graphics cards in Tongue

That is not liquid nitrogen from the looks of the fluid. I would guess thats it is dry ice and acetone. Be EXTREMELY careful if you are using that.

Hope the drink isn't the bottle of acetone just behind the glass. BTW I'm not sure of the size of the glass (lacks a reference near the glass in the picture): looks more like a smaller liquor glass.

+1 for creative thinking Smiley man oh man i wish i had me one of those mobo's ...if you ever sell one of those boards look me up Wink I have a broken lga 1366 sabertooth (bent pins) and was thinking bout getting it RMA'd til the 120 dollar price tag on it Sad Nice setup thou

[

Navidos, would you mind telling me the dimensions on this setup? I love it and have been doing some drawings for my own, but I reallllly think this would be great! I run 5 cards per board though, so I'll probably have to stretch it a bit further. Some starting points would be great though. I love what you done!!!

Here is the dimension and base of our rig Wink :

Mind if I borrow a few of those VRMS and phases ?!  It will help to raise the temps, thus keeping your nice gpu from getting the chills. lol

That must OC like maaad.

Been meaning to post this for a little while, but I've only just got round to it. 6 x 7950s with another 3 soon to come. Currently managing about 3600 kHash/s mining litecoin. Its a group project with six of us involved, but I've ended up doing most of the setting up seeing as everyone else had exams, whereas I'm on a year out from uni.

Its been a fun project and although we're not making much at the moment, I've learnt a lot from doing it. This was the first time I'd built a computer, and I also had no experience using linux - I feel I'm getting to grips with it now though  Smiley
