Always usse different different wallets of different private keys to store ur bitcoins .it is the best as it will not create people s attention and u l be able to save it for a long future.

100 wallets are more difficult to look after than one,   made properly of course

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

The best for me as of now is electrum never experience any problem with this wallet unlike in any online wallet like coinbase and xapo.. that honestly it takes few days before they can resolve your issue..
And i am afraid to invest or to put all my bitcoins in free wallets like coinbase and maybe they will gone in the future.. so that is why i use electrum for safety..

I would store it invested in many different places. I woud put 1 BTC on each casino to let it generating income for me, I would put the rest of money lending on Poloniex, few wallets. The money would be splitted between many places, but I would have control over all of it, everything organized on a spreadsheet. With >100 Bitcoins I could earn a very decent monthly income, just managing the money.

I need to say this again as many people suggesting web or desktop wallets for such sum is not the recommended advice.

People who have more than 100 bitcoins can afford to buy the most fancy and expensive hardware wallet which will cost them max 0.30 bitcoins. Be smart ,invest in a hardware wallet if you have that amount. Any other idea is plain stupid for such amount.

.

A very good thought for your future friends. Indeed by investing then everything will provide tremendous benefits and if we could use a good investment then the upside is we can quickly become wealthy in the bitcoin. But unfortunately that you have thought that only focuses on the development of assets that are not necessarily able to give good feedback into your store. If you just think about investing in everything, then I'm sure your store the more days will be getting down because you are no longer focusing on store

I must be plain stupid then, I stored thousands of bitcoins safely  without one since 2010 until this day and I don't intend to buy one either... Simply unnecessary if you know what your doing....

If i had to decide on the proper way then those 100 bitcoin would not be stored on wallet because i would definitely invest them all that would able to generate me passive income on the long run but if its really need to store then i would choose only one wallet and no other than that and i would choose trezor no matter what because some saying storing them on multiple wallets would make really you confuse and might forget some of it.

It is very simple for me i will separate 10% in a wallet where i will play poker  games, other 15% i will keep for sports betting and balance 15% i will keep for altcoin trading and other activities and balance 60% will be stored in cold wallet of my desktop for the future. From the 40% of bitcoins what ever profit will come that i will convert it to fiat currency and enjoy with my family expenses.

In my opinion you are playing with fire if you really are storing thousand of bitcoins without a hardware wallet. I am glad nothing happened to you, but if I were you I would definitely invest in a hardware wallet. I only have 4 bitcoins in total and I conserve them in the cheapest hardware wallet but very effective Ledger HW.1 . I would be crying out really loud if something happens to my precious coins but nothing will happen to them now though.

Always usse different different wallets of different private keys to store ur bitcoins .it is the best as it will not create people s attention and u l be able to save it for a long future.
Its hard to manage more wallets or even three bitcoin wallet i can't handle it i will not store 100 bitcoins on my bitcoin wallet because first is i do not know what will happen. Second is bitcoin is unstable price if the bitcoin price drop in to middle its really hurt for me.

as far as handling multiple wallets go, it is easy. and if you try it you will see it too. it is the same as what you do in real life with fiat. one wallet in your back pocket, one wallet in your bank account.
here you have one paper wallet and one hot wallet on your pc and one on your cell phone!

and as for price if you are worried then buy bitcoin when it is cheap. for example if you bought bitcoin 3 weeks ago or preferably before that right now you would just put your legs up, relax and enjoy the profit.

There is a FOMO brewing...

Probably the solution would be to store the coins in the multiple different wallets. The worst decision would be to keep bitcoins just in one place. And not to use online wallets.
But I guess I will never have such big amount of bitcoins, although I want to, so I will be not having such problems.  Grin
if you select a trusted wallet for yourself and keep your money there. although blockchain, is a secured and trusted wallet but still if you keep your money in different wallets and not select a single one then it will be really good for you. through this way you can secure more your bitcoins.

you are right, blockchain wallet is one of the trusted bitcoin web wallet and it is indeed that keeping our coin in to different wallets especially if we are owning a huge amount of bitcoin could be good but I think, to be secured it is much better to use a cold storage whenever you are going to store a large number of bitcoin .

I think it is always depends on us how we are secured our bitcoin.. well for me i can say electrum is the best to stay our coins since it is a 2nd ranking from bitcoin-qt and electrum is a lite version of bitcoin-qt.. this is a good choice and you can secured your wallet just to increase your phasprase and always backup your electrum wallet files and private keys.. and i think always protect your computer with anti virus like kaspersky that can help you protect your wallet or any online thieves.

100 bitcoins is a lot of money. Im sure someone trusting bitcoin that much wouldn't have a big problem downlaoding bitocin core and running a full node locally to guarantee that they are validating transactions correctly aren't they? I mean i dont get the people that invest so much money on bitcoin and can't even take the time to download the full blockchain. It's still only 100 GB, pretty sure if you are holding 100 BTC you can have a hard drive to host the blockchain. Please let's not be lazy with this and run as many bitcoin core nodes as possible, this helps everyone invested in bitcoin. Leave electrum for smaller amounts imo.

I would be crying out really loud if something happens to my precious coins but nothing will happen to them now though.

Have you -- yourself -- verified that your hardware wallet does not have a backdoor? If so, then how exactly did you verify this conclusion?

What makes you so sure that other methods are not equally secure?

Since I have been having issues with connecting to my blockchain wallet I am thinking about going offline for storing them now.
With that many bitcoin I would probably put them on a usb stick for safe keeping.
Maybe waterproof them in a capsule or something.
