I've noticed with POS wallets you will have to unlock for minting to get latest blocks.

So as I've learned so far, we need to keep the mix POW/POS to keep the network moving per MrData. I'm taking down the poll, sorry for the extra vote guys. I have a couple suggestions:

1. Change WSX to 60 second block
2. Rename the data directory to WeAreSatoshiX (can that be incorporated into the executable as a rename while upgrading the wallet?)

I don't think that will require a fork but MrData should let us know soon. Thanks,

Changing the block time will fork. I can rename the data folder if people are worried about it, I don't know if anyone would care about that though???

I think we need to get the fork going. We keep on loosing pools and it's easy to notice a few pools and 3 exchanges now. MrData, please let us know when you can work on it. Renaming the data directory is up to you, but it will be nice though Cheesy

I can do it whenever you are ready, just need to know when you want it to kick in (block number or date/time). I guess the other thing would be if you want to change the PoW reward structure since the block time is going to change.

What do you think? The reward will just take longer to achieve so I think it's fine. Can we plan to do at block 125000. Is that about 3-4 days out?

Multiple forks starts to take its toll on a community.  I know there is an urgency to resolve the block time to try to make it easier to keep pools online... But, is there anything else that should be incorporated in this fork?

I like some of the newer wallet design, but that's not part of the fork. Is there a list that you have in mind? I can't even think of one right now beside the anon feature, but that's not that important.

What about confirmation times?  What is the current POW maturity time? What is the current POS maturity time? Can the maturity times be reduced to allow for faster confirmations?

Downloaded new wallet. Now it will not sync. stuck at 112995. It keeps changing between 141 and 84xx blocks behind but still says same block number.

I just synced a clean wallet with no problems, you may just want to restart it or let it sit a while and it should sync up.

mine sync'ed right up from start to finish without a hiccup Cheesy had to do a "repairwallet" in the debug console to get a few coins back but it worked so it's all good Cheesy

It works now. just took a few hours to get through the hiccup. It was weird it was saying i was 140 block behind then jump to 8k then back to 140. It did that for awhile but it works now.
