Hi guys. I was replying to a thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=698679.80), but have started my own topic as there are some irregularities that ill be screen dumping. So i bought 13 miners from GAW, and their customer service has been brilliant, but the payouts are a little irregular. I have 10 Falcons running at 27+, and 3 War machines running at 54+ (as advertised). My average daily MH/s is 421 - 426 mh/s Payouts have been abit inconsistent: 31 July - 0.373 1st Aug - 0.308 2nd Aug - 0.3109 3rd Aug - 0.267 4th Aug - 0.177 5th Aug - 0.281 6th Aug - 0.193 As of today (6th - Im in Sydney Australia), i had been using wafflepool, and consistantly getting: Falcons - 0.0179 War machines - 0.0361 However, immediately after I got paid, the payouts changed to: Falcons - 0.0119 War machines - 0.024 I will screen dump the differences. Note the screen dumps where taken about an hour apart. So there looks like there is an issue with the payouts and i will be opening a ticket with them. Note that im not trying to say anything bad about Gaw miners, their service is great and they respond immediately, but obviously there are issues and i would like to hear from other miners using the zen cloud.

I'm opening a ticket with them, so I will post the follow ups and keep screen dumping

As of today (6th - Im in Sydney Australia), i had been using wafflepool, and consistantly getting:
Falcons - 0.0179 War machines - 0.0361
However, immediately after I got paid, the payouts changed to:
Falcons - 0.0119 War machines - 0.024
The numbers in the ZenPortal are based on the previous day profitability - not sure if it is realtime or how often they are updated but your numbers seem consistent with the previous two days from wafflepool's stats: http://wafflepool.com/statsDate BTC Hashrate BTC / 1MH vs LTC Aug 05, 2014 6.99234399 15.57 GH/s 0.00044911 88% Aug 04, 2014 7.39275728 10.96 GH/s 0.00067448 132% Yesterday (based on Aug 4th numbers) Falcon = 0.00067448 * 27 = 0.0182 War Machine = 0.00067448 * 543 = 0.0364 Today (based on Aug 5th numbers) Falcon = 0.00044911 * 27 = 0.0121 War Machine = 0.00044911 * 54 = 0.0242 Those number in the Zen Portal are only of use to determine past performance and really not that useful for determining the current performance of the pool or to estimate the payout. I believe realtime profitability stats for the pools in on their "to-do" list but right now the numbers are kinda useless because if the pool has a great day yesterday, it doesn't mean it will have a good day today. Even the hourly numbers that Wafflepool and Clevermining provide are not that useful for determining how profitable it will be for the rest of the day if you are not already mining with them. I prefer nicehash because you kinda determine how profitable it will be based on the orders they have

I think the choice of pools should reflect real time, but its good they are working on it. I suppose they are in effect useless. Sounds like the only way to keep track of profitable pools is to calculate each pools figures. Hopefully they look in to this, it would be a handy feature. I have a ticket open with them, as i would like to know why the stats change on payout. Its still worth them having a look at it. Is there anyone else who has noticed this?

Yes it would be interesting to know how those figures are calculated but it won't change the fact that there is no sure-fire way to predict the profitability of a profit-switching pool like clevermining or Wafflepool. If I could, I would be a rich man!
Sites like poolpicker.eu based their data on past days performance. With Wafflepool and Clevemining you can see the partial data for today but really the hourly numbers go up and down so much that it is hard to predict where you will end up. i.e. Clevermining is doing 0.0006 BTC/MH today for the first 14 hours so you decide to switch to them - but they end up only doing 0.0005 for the rest of the day so that is what you would get paid. Nicehash is really the only one but even with them if puts in or pull a large orders, or if a bunch of miners jump onto the pool, your current payout could change very quickly.
It is pretty much a guessing game - although nicehash has been the most consistent for me and it generally the safest bet.

I've had pretty good experiences with Wafflepool, but hey -- it's ultimately their choice to show you what they want, or else profit-switching pools would be every pool.

I'm paying for a service. Thats the whole point with monitoring the mining, trying to be profitable. I think i will stick with Nicehash for now and just check on the website regularly

Its impossible to predict the future. Most pools but ,Nicehash that is actual payout as your mining, are just best guesses. Things like PPLN payout that split coins found by the last N shifts means you have no idea what your going to make this hour until way in the future. That is why places like www.poolpicker.eu is just showing how a pool finished the last day out. Doesn't matter how much you pay for a service, unless they have a time machine, can't give you more than a best guess.

you may be forgetting that zencloud charges per day after the first month to host your miners. that's why money is missing from your hash.
The falcon cost $2.20US a day to host 1 on zencloud
$4.41/day per WM

Thanks. Maybe next week it will be better... I think the Zencloud miner is the best, i was just worried about the payouts dropping so much. GAW miners have the best gear and prices, and luckily I got it before they all went up in price. Anyone using S3's from GAW and the Zencloud miner?

I have been happy with the s-3's i try to compare the price I would pay if I buy them out right from bitmaintech or if I host with gawminers. involves some math skills. but here goes. at gawminer 0 usd for a psu at gawminer 10 cents a watt . = about 90 cents a day. first month is free. if you mine at 15 cents a kwatt a miner in home that is about 40.50 a month. you need to buy a psu. say 50 usd. so the current price at bitmaintech = .66 btc or about 390 usd must buy 2 but I will leave that out for now. so 390 + 50 = 440 mine 1 month at 15 cents = 40.500 total of 480.50 so if you pay 15 cents a kwatt you should buy one of these from gawminer as it is cheaper then direct from bitmaintech.com this is if you don't have a psu and your power is 15 cenbts or more a kwatt. will you make money ? I have no clue but the price is better. Also gawminers has coupons specials etc. makes it even better. deal. will all this make you money once again don't know .. but I may as well pay the better deal

Yeah, in Sydney Australia, the power is 0.32c off peak and up to 0.48c peak. This is why I chose Cloudmining.
I might wait until oneminer do the S3's. I was tempted to buy a couple of S3's, i might see how you go.
