Platforms like Shopify, Digital River, Stripe, WordPress and Square provide the opportunity for thousands of business owners to accept billions of dollars in sales through bitcoin. But why don't all merchants on those platforms accept bitcoin?

Bitcoin is the best way for merchants to get paid. Bitcoin helps eliminate fraud, increase market reach, eliminate security issues and reduce cost.

It's a pity Stripe is pushing Stellar and not bitcoin. I guess the merchants want to use Stellar, because it's linked to a facebook account, and in that way, the consumers are identified and they could spam them with direct product advertizing.

I think I will stay with BTC where I have a little privacy in what my spending habbits are, and less advertisement spamming to my facebook account.  Sad

Bitcoin provides many features which could extend the customer market and increase profits for business.  Technology always moves slow to acceptance, but it will happen eventually. I think in 5-10 years we'll see bitcoin everywhere

And the price will sky rocket to well above $5000 per BTC and we early adopters can go on early pension.  Grin

Hope my paper wallets will last until then ;->

I think we may see 5000$ per BTC one day in the next few years. Considering it has been 1000$ before, 5000$ doesn't seem too far off.
