Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

He's definitely excited about it but he does mention plenty of the unknowns that have to be dealt with in the coming years to foster some semblance of mainstream adoption.

A very experienced man to have on BTC side.  Grin

We need someone like him to negotiate with law makers and legislature, when the debate the legalization of the currency. Even though he is "retired" he still know the inner workings of the US government, and how they decide on things. 

And he has been part of BTC since it started. {White paper phase}
